| Yorkie is a Sillky...maybe Well Charlie and I have moved to North Carolina. We are settling in nicely. There are TONS of dog owners in the apartment complex. Charlie has made lots of new friends. (sometimes I think he thinks he's a big dog) Some of you may remember, Charlie (Cooper) was given to me by a busy family. They were making lots of changes in their life and were unable to care for him as a puppy should be. I was told he was a full blooded Yorkie, but after doing some research, I think he may be a Silky Terrier. Charlie is 9 months old. He weighs about 11lbs and is 16-18" long. I have read that Yorkies are more box shaped where as Silky Terriers are more rectangular. He is a great puppy with the best temperament. Charlie gets along great with my cat and my boyfriend's dog, a 6 year old border collie. Although he does have a bad habit of pooping in my boyfriend's apartment. Please see the pictures below and give me your opinion. I would love some feedback as y'all are MUCH more knowledgeable about Yorkies. Thanks. |

| He does resemble a silky much more than a standard yorkie. But you never know - there could be silky and yorkie mixed into his lines

| To me he look's all Yorkie. The Silky Terrier has a different face altogether if you look really hard at it. I believe you have yourself a Teapot Yorkie. Buddy is a Teapot Yorkie, 15lbs and is alllllllllllll Yorkie. Good luck with your move and your big boy. |

| yorkie People tend to think any Yorkie who is oversized etc, must be part Silky..not so...your boy is no doubt all Yorkie. The breeder did not use the standard as they should when picking their breeding stock...no relflection on your pet, he is perfect for what you want..a non-breeding pet. |
