Sam + PetsMart= Heartattack for Mom - YorkieTalk.com Forums

On Saturday morning we went to get Sam a stroller at PetsMart before we went to Southlake.

They are doing Pooch Fall Portraits for a donation to SPCA. Well, ok, Sam doesnt have on a Fall outfit but thats ok, sure, he can get his pic done.

They have a cute lil background with pumpkins and fall leaves.

The lady asked me if I wanted to have Sam blessed. Not really feeling good about it I said, No Thank you.

So she starts taking pics and Sam all of the sudden leaps out from behind those pumpkins and was GONE! Like lightening that lil sucker flew past me, the photographer, two other ladies, and a grown man!!!!

A big black dog tried to bite him then he was off in the street where the Preacher was able to grab him about the same time as I was beginning to hyperventilate!

Thank GOD there were no cars coming! He had his leash on the whole time and no one could catch him or step on it, he was so fast.

The lady taking pictures was so upset, she kept apologizing. She was trying to calm me down. It was so very scary.

Needless to say Sam got blessed after that and the Preacher "blessed" me to, trying to calm my nerves.

Edited to add.... I also failed to mention that Me and a handful of kids had to catch the lil sucker Friday night because he was running in PetsMart like a wild man.

OMGoodness, he was trying to get to Wisconsin to see Tink. I just know it!

Ha Ha, I'm sure they are related. I have to keep Tink lashed to me at all times or she runs like the wind. You'd think I mistreat her the way she always wants to run away from me.

I'm glad you got Sam back. He's one lucky dog that he didn't get smooshed by a car. What's with the blessing? Is it bless the animals week? No one does that up here. Can't say I'd mind having Tink blessed or Exorcized for that matter!

I know you woulda thought that we had sat him up there with sharks or something. As fast as he was moving he woulda been there by nitefalll!!!!!

We have a certificate and everything from him being blessed. I will take his pic but he is so pooped out today. I got out my camera and he growled

so I figured it wasnt a good time, lol

I hadnt heard about them blessing the animals before. I just didnt feel so comfortable with it at first, not sure why, just one of those things I guess.

I have their card, want me to give them a call and see if they can do an over the phone with Tink? Yanno for either the blessing or exorcism??

That he is! And you know my MOTHER is just so full of advice (sometimes i just wanna knock'er out, lol) says after we get in the car and she has had a slight panic attack as welll.... Yanno you really shouldnt love him after he has done that but scold him.

Bein' a mom she shou;d should know better.

Mom's aren't they a pain! (except me of course, but don't ask my daughter. Please don't ask my daughter!)

Chick fil a huh? Tink says she'd have some of that along with her bacon bubbles.

Maybe it is some kind of special week because a church here was having a "Bless the Pets" event too that we went to on Saturday.

Oh no! I'm glad you caught Mr. Sammy Sam!

Sam, you have to stay with your mommy next time you go out-that's part of the deal when you get to go to special places!

I've never seen it done up here, but I know they do it elsewhere. Mexico, and some places in Europe. Tink needs her very own priest! A young thin man who could chase her down, exorcize the mischief out of her, and give her a good blessing before handing her back to me all well and healed forever! Amen!

Yes she managed to click a bunch before his escape! There were 4 that turned out alright. We definetly take better pics at home, lol, you know where if there is a chance of running, its to the kitchen!!!

My niece has the CD so I am hoping to load them tomorrow.

Well at least you got something out of it besides a heart attack!

Tink never holds still long enough to get a good pic, unless she's sleeping and then I can't get her face.

I'm telling ya girl, those bubbles are the best gift you could have given her. She just loves them!! Me too, cause it wears her out!

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
