Hi Everyone,
I know a lot of people on here know Babybear's story about him breaking his neck last year do to Atlantoaxial Instability (AAI for short) this is a defect with the cervical vertabrae in the neck not firmly attached. And many know that I have done many things to get Babybear to walk again. He was given a cart(wheelchair) last November to learn to walk in and he hated it and it really didn't work right for him. Well, over the last year I have given him physical therapy, Water therapy and massage therapy daily, and weekly. He has also been going for acupuncture since the beginning of March. He can stand on his own but can not walk alone. I usually hold him under his belly and walk him and he does great but does need that help. His front legs do not move right they cross over with every step. Some people did give me suggestions on how to try and stop this but nothing has worked. His front right leg also buckles over and I am constantly telling him to fix his leg. He can do this and make it lay the right way.
The good news now is. I found a pup while doing a search on front wheeled cart, that is in a front wheeled cart and he goes like the wind. I wrote to the company that makes these front wheeled carts I sent them many pictures of Babybear and video. Well, next Monday Babybear goes to get measured for a new set of wheels. I am hoping this helps him walk again. He is very strong in the back end all but the LP he has in both legs. I am hoping this will also help the LPs. His doctor says he has LP because he is not using those legs like he should. With this new cart he will use them. I am hoping. I will take many pictures of him in his new cart and I will make sure that I post them.

How wonderful for Babybear that he might be mobile again. You are truly an amazing Mommy to do what you have done for your furkid Such dedication should be commended!

This Yorkie was so lucky to have found someone as loving, dedicated and as caring as yourself.

Just wanted to say yes Mikey is doing just great. He is getting bigger and better all the time. He turned 4 months old today. We are taking him for pictures tomorrow. I will see if I can add on of his latest on here. Yup I think I was able to.

OMG......look at Mikey. He has gotten so big and has lots of hair now. What a cutie. I am so glad Babybear is getting a new walker. I cant wait to see pics of his zipping around in it. He is so lucky to have you to take care of him Val.

Thank you everyone. I can't wait. I wish it would hurry up and get here the 15th it was supposed to be tomorrow but where tomorrow is a holiday we have to wait until next Monday my next day off work. I was also shooting for next Saturday but Eddie's wheels will be closed that day. So next Monday it is. I hope by the following Monday the cart is ready and Babybear is too. I will take plenty of pictures and when we get him going video also. OH Mikey is making the trip with us to the western part of Mass to get Babybear's measurements. And possibly to get his cart also.
Then I will have to start a post called the Adventures of Babybear and his cart..lol I think I will have to get a name game going for him. The pup that I saw with the front wheeled cart that made me get ahold of Eddie's wheels is named Gizmo and they call his cart the Gizmomobile. Will have to come up with a name for Babybear's cart. Maybe even call Babybear wheelieman.lol
