| Britney has to go back to the vet to have her blood redone... Britney has to go back to the vet today to have her blood work redone. She had it done the other day but she HATED it. The vet said something about her iron being a little high so she just wanted to check it out again. She is supposed to be spayed in one week. I am praying everything goes well. I'm probably more stressed out about going than she is. |

| I'm sure you are. Just try to remember that spaying/neutering goes on everyday. It's a normal part of being a responsible owner.

| Good luck! I know how that goes, Lucy just had her blood work done for her spay in october but it came back showing she has low protein levels, so I took her in again and one of her levels is raised but not where the vet would like it. So i'm going to change her diet and take her back in about a month for the blood tests again and then have her spayed. Just listen to your vet and I'm sure everything will be okay

| Thanks you two. Just back from the vet. Boy was that a hassle. Britney was NOT happy. The tech jabbed her a few times and I finally just asked if a vet (there are probably 10 different vets there) could come in a do it. He came in and did it on the first try. Results back tomorrow! Hopefully everything will be fine! |

| Oh I am so sorry that she had to go through that. I would hate it if I have to get stuck more then what is needed. What am I talking about? I hate to even see needles. LOL. I hope that all your results come back and they are all good. Stay positive.

| Aw, poor baby has to get stuck again? That stinks, but it's good that your vet is being very thorough!

| ...So I'm not the only one. Some techs bug me. Ellie went for her bile acids a few weeks ago. I left her there and when we got home we noticed her neck was REALLY red and bruised. I wasn't exactly happy. That happens when they stick the needle in too far (in this case it was because Ellie is wiggly). The vet wanted Ellie back two days later for another blood draw. This time we asked the tech if they could draw it cephalic. She said they would try. Then the vet comes in and says they can't because the vein will collapse with the amount they need. She said she would draw it though (she promised to try her best not to bruise her) . What do you know...no bruise. I keep trying to tell myself that techs are trained to do that stuff but I am not seeing much proof. Sorry to all the techs on here. I am sure you are wonderful at what you do.

Obviously vet techs need to learn, but I think you should be given a choice of them learning on YOUR pet. | |
