| Can yorkies have soy milk? Wobie has been desperately trying to drink my soy milk lately. He really loves the smell, I guess...I'm vegan so I'm contstantly drinking it. I drink just plain organic soy milk, so I don't think there would be anything that could hurt, right? I wouldn't give it to him everyday or anything, just as a little treat along with his other foods he gets every once in a while.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Soy can be highly allergenic - but if he's not allergic, then it should be okay. It could cause gas too, so look out for that! Also, soy is considered a bit "estrogenic", so just use it in moderation.

| Zippy loves tofu, he get is every once in a while with his favorite vegetables. He does get gas afterward though, because of all the roughage. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Certain chemicals are "estrogenic", meaning that they amplify the effect of naturally produced estrogen. So, you always just want to be moderate with those. For example, anyone w/ a history of breast cancer in their family should be careful about consuming estrogenic chemicals. People undergoing chemo for hormone-related cancers are often placed on "low-estrogenic diets".
