| Update ON Missy Hey everyone, I've been lurking off and on but haven't been up to posting ..since Missy lost her pups and the vet killing the last one she had left..the Vet refuses to replace the pup. So, I have a lawyer who going to look at the info on it. Missy is doing ok..she had a ruff week but is back to playing with the other dogs now. I also wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for your kind words, thoughts, and moral support it really meant so much to me..I'm doing better ..but, everytime I drive by the Vets office.. I want to go in and pinch the little s**ts head off . I quess I'll let the lawyer have a crack at him first. Took Molly my 5 month old in for her first hair cut yesterday she was so matted ..had to have her shaved down and going to start over. Poor thing she look funny right now , but I know she will grow out again. Her puppy coat on top was black and now she is silver. Going to have to start looking for a new Vet, Molly's due her rabies shot pretty soon. Have a good day all Sherry |

| Hi It is good to see your post...it takes time to recover, both Missy and you. It sounds like Missy will forget her ordeal long before you. Dogs are lucky that way. |

| Been Thinking of you... So glad to hear from you. You and your yorkie momma went through so much and I'm so sorry- I wish I could help more. I have a 10 wk. old puppy and am worried about the same thing with matting..sometimes that puppy fluff is hard stuff to take care of...Your 5 month old will grow back fast...and be cool this summer... hugs to you!

| I'm amazed that vets don't have the same worries about malpractice that human docs do... Our babies are just as precious as a human! They should have the same care and concern. Once you find a good vet you just have to attach yourself lol! |

| Oh Sherry, I just read your original post, I don't know how I missed it. I am sooo sorry that something like this happened . This is why I think some people just opt fot the csection to begin with. This is what scares me about breeding. I hope that you are going to switch vets, and you "nail" them with your lawyer . This is something that they should be responsible for. Poor Missy, I hope that she's doing well, give her lots of lovin'. I don't know how you kept yourself together, stay strong...

| Does the "vet" give you any kind of explanation about why he did what he did?? How old is this vet?? How long has he been a vet?? Has he apologized at all...or would that be taking blame for what he did? I have sooo many questions about this... I could go on forever!~~

I agree. I guess there hasnt been enough lawsuits yet for them to have concern.

My nephew said he heard someone holler. He said the Vet came flying out the back door. said a quick "hi" to my nephew, he then went around the build into another door .. He hid out in the office the whole time.(my sister saw him come out the back door, when we left ..she was following me back to my house) The female vet that works with him (which is New out of school about 6-8 month ) worked on the pup. He didn't call me for 2 hours later.. saying he was sorry, but sometimes it just happens. I told him I want him to replace my pup that he killed. Because I DID NOT ask him to tube him. That I only brought him in to see if he was dehydrated. Gave him 2 days to get me some names of people to see about a replacement pup. I stopped in the office in the two days ask if he had me some names, he started to hem-haw around. I then ask him flat out if he planned to replace my pup..He said.. NO ,I can't replace every dog that dies. I'm still waiting on the reports that I have ask for (3 times)on Missy and the pup. I have ask for all record on all my dogs. And looking for a new Vet. I have a lot of questions too. But, no answers. Last edited by yorkiegirl2; 06-23-2005 at 07:11 AM. | |

| So glad to hear an update on Missy & you! I am thankful that she is recovering from her ordeal. I hope that this will ultimately come to a fair resolution. These babies can't speak for themselves and depend on us to do it for them. We will keep you all in our prayers and pray that your heart will heal.
