| Does anybody else do self-grooming?? I am a very cheap person, and the thought of paying 40 bucks to get grooming done makes me cringe, so I always just do it myself. It's just me, him, and a pair of scissors. It takes me about 20 minutes or so...and he's done! He sits pretty still for me too, so it isn't really that big of a pain. While you can kind of tell it wasn't done professionally, it also doesn't look bad at all. Anybody else? |

| Yes, I do my two also. I haven't found a groomer I can trust - actually I haven't looked real hard for one since I've learned to do it myself and the puppies behave very well

| My boys have never been to the "beauty shop". They are 3 and 2. I'm on a tight budget and I have trust issue's with groomers so I've always done mine myself. Unlike your baby, my boys are less than cooperative when it's time for haircuts or trims. It's usually a day long process, sometimes even stretches through the whole weekend. It would go a lot faster if I had someone to help me hold them. I think the next time its time for haircuts, I'll call over one of my neighbors or family member to help out. It would make it a lot easier with my wiggly boys.

| I steal Daddy's hair clippers and trim Tino "bonzai"style...wherever I think he needs a snip snip...he gets it. I get compliments every time people see him. They always ask me which groomer I use.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I groom the babies myself also It's not really so much that I'm cheap lol...however after my last (and only) tragic experience at the groomers, I vowed that I would never take my baby back there again. They just cut his hair way too short and I was devastated Shocked...just was NOT at all expecting him to come out looking like that, lol. Now I have 2 Yorkies and they are both groomed by mamma and mamma alone

| My guys are 5 months. My daughter is in Cosmotology and she gave me her scissors. They had to get her a new kit. She is left handed... So I used my new scissors and groomed both boys this weekend. I think I did pretty good. Daughter thought I gave in and took them to the groomers.

| I do my two girls myself too. I finally broke down and learned to clip their nails I used to take them in for just that. Not as scary as I thought.

| I too like to save money. I groom both of my pets and 2 others for friends that had purchased their pups from me. I do warn them that if I get it too short to remeber that it will always grow back. LOL But no complaints so far.
