Traveling Yorkies Alone in Hotel Room?

I put mine in their crate if I'm am not in the room with them. Don't want them running out if someone happens to open it.

There is certain rooms designated for pets so the cleaning ladys know.
We took Minnie with us to SLCity,& her lil kennel which shes only used that one time

We went to a wedding,no pets allowed

Minnie was just fine...

i havent got a chance to travel with bentley yet! but the "do not disturb" sign seems like it would be a great idea!

I don't think that's "bad" at all. In fact, I think it is wonderful. In Europe dogs are allowed almost everywhere, even restaurants in some places. I wish we were more dog friendly in our country and I think we can encourage this by taking our dogs with us whenever possible. My dogs are a part of my family and I want them with me whenever practical. I think most of us feel this way.

My boyfriend and I have traveled before with our bigger dog and he was just hanging out in the room while we attended a wedding. Everything was fine. We stayed at a hotel that allowed pets and we just had to put a sign up outside our door to let the staff know we had a dog. We are actually going away this weekend and we are bringing both dogs with us and plan on bringing Bella's crate for her while we are out for yet another wedding. I think it should be fine if you bring your crate for her for the few hours you might be away. It'd sort of like you were at work or running an errand and had to crate her.

We travel with ours, I just put them in thier playpen,that way they dont cause any trouble, we also put the sign out,but we actually dont go far or long,the only time we left them was to play in a casino for 1 hour,we got back and they were asleep togeather...the playpen I use is a mesh portacrib,that way they are where I put them lol

We recently stayed in a hotel (I think I posted this video already, but here it is again) - the hotel was in Asheville, N.C. Quality Inn and Suites I believe, and they are very pet friendly!

Elias and I left Sully in the room while we went shopping for a couple of hours. Of course, we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door....and there were absolutely no problems! Sully was king of his own luxury suite (at least in his own mind, lol). We were sure to leave him there with food and water, and his favorite toys and a sweatshirt that smelled like mommy

Your travels are amazing! It's incredible that you've seen so much! The only hotel expereince I have with Olivia is sneaking her into a motel in NJ the night I got her. She was so exhausted and nervous to be with new people that she slept and was quite the whole night. I would also definitely recommend the "Do Not Disturb" sign when you're gone.

Thanks ! Yes I have been lucky that I have been able to experience different places and different cultures. I have learned a lot from traveling. It is always exciting to see someplace new.
