Donating YT 7000 Club Member | swimming yorkies I'm just curious how many of you have yorkies that like to swim? my friend has a yorkie and she insists that all of them hate water. i tried to tell her that she was wrong but she wouldn't listen. now i'm going to tell her this way. so how many of your babies like getting wet in some kind of way. i think its really funny when they do becuase tey kind of look like rats. (very cute rats) i also like how they're all fluffy when you dry them off. so any way how many of you have swimming babies?

| Lily swims with us. Not sure if she likes it or not but she does it anyway. She sure is cute when she swims.

| Nala loves playing in the water!!! Just yesterday she got in my dad's garden after he watered it and was running 90mph through the puddles. She was covered from head to toe in mud!! I've got some pictures of her on my phone but can't for the life of me figure out how to send them to my e-mail (it's a new phone just got it Saturday). |

| We Live On The Beach. Charli Bear Loves The Water. He's Grown Up Walking The Beach Since I Have Had Him For Over A Year Now. When I Go Out In The Water, Now He Starts Coming After Me And Stops When He Gets To His Neck. I Do Get Him Sometimes And Take Him Out To My Waist And Just Watch His Little Hands And Feet Paddle Away! You Can Actually Ask Him Does He Want To Go To The Beach And He Starts "the Circle Running" Going Crazy If You Don't Get The Leash Quick Enough For Him. So, I Have To Say, There Are Some Out There That Do Love The Water And Swimming. I Don't Post Much On This Site, But I Will Tell You All That I Have Gotten A Wealth Of Information. Thanks! |

| waterbabies!! Unfortunatly both our little girls like water, we took them for a long walk last week - Dounia our lab always swims when she sees water she jumps in, we are used to that - so i unleashed Chelsey and she ran, but i NEVER thought she would do what the lab does, next thing my husband asked WHERES CHELSEY ( he heard a little splash ) we turned around and saw Dounia looking in the water from the side - my husband ran like a mad man to the waterside to get Chelsey out, all we could see of her was her little nose, i guess her coat is too heavy to swim properly! Dounia has a little pool in the yard and Chanel just jumps in - we have to watch them ALL the time! they arent affraid of anything at all im looking for swimmingvests for both of them and wont take them for walks again without them wearing it! Here in Holland theres water all over - all around us where we live theres water We got rid of the pond in the backyard when we got Chelsey before spring came because we were affraid she might fall in, i guess with good reason!

| One is a Dolphin and One Likes the Sprinkler My Yorkie, Mickey, likes to lounge in his kiddie pool with just his head above water and watch me mow the lawn. He "surfs" on his own raft at the lake, and swims up to each person in the water near the shore, kisses them, then swims off to kiss the next lucky person. He also jumps in the hotel pool we go to each year and same thing...swims up to each person..kiss...on to the next. Needless to say, he is quite the attention getter. My Cairn only likes a sprinkler or a hose for water fun. |

| My boys haven't had a chance to be in the water yet, but my parents have a 7 year old yorkie and he loves the water. We had a pool growing up and we would throw his ball in the pool and he would jump in the water to get it, swim around for awhile, and then climb up the ladder to get out. My parents no longer have a pool, but have just put a pond in their backyard and filled it with some fish. I guess the other day it was very hot and Sam (their yorkie) was hot from playing ball in the backyard so he ran over to the pond and jumped in to cool off |

| Maggie loves the wading pool. She tries to get the little fish decals off the bottom. She also likes for me to hold her in the Koi pond. That water is very cool. She likes it the best after playing with the big dogs.

| Teddy is a pool pup...but then it has also been hotter than H*ell in Phoenix the past few days so that may have something to do with it.
