My boys haven't had a chance to be in the water yet, but my parents have a 7 year old yorkie and he loves the water. We had a pool growing up and we would throw his ball in the pool and he would jump in the water to get it, swim around for awhile, and then climb up the ladder to get out. My parents no longer have a pool, but have just put a pond in their backyard and filled it with some fish. I guess the other day it was very hot and Sam (their yorkie) was hot from playing ball in the backyard so he ran over to the pond and jumped in to cool off
