| advantage or frontline Hi yorkietalk, Haven't posted in while, but have a question. Whats better advantage or frontline? Also what is a good method for containing barking without using the collars that shock? I'm not going to shock my lucky for barking but he barks constantly when were out in public or when he's in the backyard and its pretty annoying. He doesnt bark in the house unless he hears something which is great but i dont want to keep him in the house all the time. thanks

| I like Advantage better. Frontline seems to leave a sticky residue on Lacy's hair and takes much longer to dry.

| We use Advantix..it dries quickly and it's not messy. Barking? I wouldn't use those collars.. Maybe try discilpline. Scold, "time out" section, shake a can of coins, etc.. Whatever you do, be consistent.

| I use advantage. Everytime I put frontline on Jerome he would go under the bed and stay there for a couple of days. It looked to me like he had a burning feeling on him. He wasn't himself for a few days. I change to Advantage since it has less ingredients or chemicals and every time I put it on he acts normal no going under the bed or anything llike that.

| I just read this thread all the way through and it was very informative on the subject, called "Warning: Please Read" I tried to get the link to copy so you'd only have to click, but it didn't work; but that's the name of the thread and you could do a search or just go to the "Sick and Injured" postings. |

| thanks Thanks for the advice. I've been using advantage since he was a baby, but we've never had a flea issue til now. it's been so hot and we have had stray cats in the backyard. I think thats how he got them. I'm going to try frontline since advantage doesnt kill ticks and see how it works. just in case its ticks and not flea's. it was black and moving so im pretty sure its fleas. i took him to the groomer so there gone for now. as far as the barking guess i'll just have to deal with that. good night yorkie talk.
