Rawhide bones are dangerous for Yorkies?

Apples are just fine! I have used them when I am brushing Sam as a distraction. He loves them.

Compressed rawhide bones are totally different than regular rawhide. They grind the rawhide into super tiny pieces and then press it into a shape. The reason these are safer is that while rawhide isn't 100% digestible, the tiny pieces are too small to cause an intestinal obstruction. You'll find the compressed rawhide in lots of the dental treats. So while I wouldn't want to give a regular rawhide, these are much safer. It really depends on how hard they are, if they can chew them up too quickly, they are adding a significant amount of calories and also, there is a possibility that they might want to swallow the last couple inches of it, so you have to be very careful of them not causing a throat obstruction. I think bully sticks are better, as long as you get the really hard ones made in America. Of course you also have to supervise the use of bully sticks.

My little Yorkie rescue loves to chew. What can I safely give her? I bought her a Nylabone but she is scraping little pieces off the ends. She even chews the corner of my sheets. I never let her chew anything when I'm not around ,which is not often as I'm retired and live for her and my little chihuahua.

I will never give them to chester, nor would I to a bigger dog even
