| ![]() I do not know what your laws are where you live but in Tennessee (I am a board member of the local Humane Society) the law is that the chain has to be a certain length, they must have adaquate housing and that means a dog house and there must be water there for them all the time and proof that they are being fed. It is very sad but you cannot make people love their animals but they must have their basic needs met. My advice would be for you to call you local animal control and have them go out and check it out. They cannot tell who called or anything so you don't have to worry about her finding out you are the one who called if that worries you. At least you would be doing something. I know how hard it is to see something like that. I will never understand why people get dogs just to chain them outside? |

I mean you wouldn't be stealing them, you'd be saving them. Poor things, yorkies don't have the under coat most dogs do, so it's hard for them to stay warm at night ![]() | |

| ![]() I thought I posted this the other day because I remember typing it out but apparently it didn't go through or something so here it goes again.. She took several weeks to call me back and when she finally did I acted like I was going to give her the crate back that I had loaned her. She said she didn't need it, that she got them another one and that they stay in it at night, I said oh, you don't have them chained to the tree anymore and she said that the reason that she did that is because the shihtzu kept getting in the trash and the yorkie kept chewing up stuff so now that she has a new crate she keeps them in there. I then told her that I had taught Kallie and Stewie how to sit and lay down and that I wanted to see if I could teach Macy that since she was older to see if it would work and she said that is fine. I told her to bring her to me or that I would come and get her and she said ok. Then she said that Macy needed to be groomed really bad but she didn't have the money and I just said you know, why don't you find them a new home so that you don't have to worry about money since it cost so much to care for 2 dogs and you are now a single mom and she said that beethoven, the shih tzu was old and that he wasn't hard to care for and that she wasn't "getting rid" of Macy, the yorkie unless she got her $900 back out of her..I told her that she was 2 yrs old now and that she had no proper training since she is EXTREMELY hyper and that she needed to consider that $900 was alot to ask for her. She didn't wanna budge on the price and seemed like she would rather struggle with caring for them then deal with rehoming them. Then she was supposed to come over that day on her lunch break and visit and we would talk more, and I haven't heard from her since..She never showed or called me back.. I am not sure what to do now since she is keeping them inside now. I am not sure how much time they spend in there but what are my other options... |

| ![]() If they are in the house and being watered and fed, there is nothing you can do. The law doesn't demand that you love them ![]() |

| ![]() Sounds like someone should doggie knap them ... she would not even look for them so really what would it matter? My dogs would not last an hour outside in this weather in Texas.
