| This iss normal for the first time. it is also the reason a lot of people don't put collars on their yorkies. They can hang themselves or get a paw caught in it trying to get it off and choke themselves. i am sorry i don't have any advice about it other than i wouldn't put a collar on him. None of mine hae collars except for the vet. |

| Chip is fine with a collar and tags, but HATED the harness! He actually chewed through the nylon harness If it's the first time with the collar, most likely an adjustment period is needed. |

| Lucy's favorite thing to do is chew on her tags that are on her collar, we keep a collar on her when she's not wearing her harness just in case she decides to make an exit. So her's have little teeth marks in them.

| Cody likes to chew his tags too. He doesn't really wear them unless he is going to the bathroom or to the vet. in case he makes a mad dash with the zoomies! |

| Baxter loves to put his tags in his mouth and play "in your face". (He climbs up on you and pushes his mouth against your face). It's like he wants to give them to you too - We call it his proud march! God I love that dog! |

| Abby always has her collar on b/c a light push will open our screen door so I try to keep it locked but I'm scared I'll forget one day... and She has 2 tags (one with her name and our phone number and other one is her vet/rabies tag) so she jingles loud and I can always hear where she's at.

| Riley likes to chew on her tags occasionally as well. The first few months it was a constant thing. Now it's just every so often. And it's only the big rabies tag that she goes for. I like having the two tags on here, though, because as others have said I can track her movements by her jingles. |

| It'll take some time to get used to the collar. It might be easier to start with just a collar first, and then once he gets used to the collar add the tag. Lacy's first collar was a plain nylon collar that buckled and she scratched and scratched at that thing until it was all frayed. When I bought her the next one, she was fine though. I think it just took her about a week to get used to it. I didn't start putting a tag on there until a couple months later.

It was sooo funny to see when i put the collar and leash on Ryoko for the first time he refused to move. Funnier thing is that as i am typing my son thought he would play hide and seek with Kaze. throw a towel over his head and then run and hide before he could get the towel off his head. Well I had to call my son back to look at Kaze because he refused to move with that towel on his head lol. Its like their way of protesting. I have seen some dogs flip all the way out when a collar was first put on them as well. | |

| Sadie used to chew on her tags too, but now she leaves them alone.
