| Hi & Welcome. I am a first time Yorkie owner and I have to tell you, you can't go wrong with this breed. We also have a lab and a golden retriever. Please post pics of your Maltese. My sister wants to get one in the Spring. Good Luck on this adventure. Jen

YT 500 Club Member | Good Morning! I really like Maltese too. And, our Yorkie was supposed to be a Golden. My husband wanted a Golden, but I talked him into looking at the Yorkie puppies, and he is HOOKED! It is so funny how men love these little guys. Welcome to YT.

| Welcome to YT. Glad your doing your research. Please ask all the questions you can think of. There is a lot of characteristics that make up a Yorkie, and you should be well aware of them before making your choice.

| Welcome to YT. I too am a first time Yorkie owner, and I couldn't be happier. As you research, you will find that they can be difficult to house train, can be yappers and are "needy". Well, it doesn't matter to me. I've never fallen so hard for a furbaby! I love him more than I can say. They're wonderful, loving little babies! Good luck. |

| Hi and welcome aboard. So happy you found us. Before I actually got my own Yorkie I was on two Yorkie Rescues and fostered them for a few years. Before I quit rescue I had made up my mind to get one of these wonderful little guys. I have two little females and not only am I totally hooked on this breed, my husband is just as crazy about them! |

| Hi & Welcome!! I am (kind of) am a first time yorkie owner too. I got Beau around 6 years ago and he was my first and only yorkie (so far). Good luck on all of your research but remember that yorkie's personalities are each their own, like a human there aren't two alike! I love my little Beau-Beau and wouldn't trade him for any other breed in the world! Have fun!
