| ![]() That's a good point, Charlene.... Before I got my yorkie babies, I envisioned being able to take them along for lots of walks and adventures. I've tried it a few time, but my girls (4 and 5 lbs) poop out REALLY quickly, and just want to be carried the rest of the way! ![]()

| ![]() I hope you manage to post pics, it would be lovely to see him. However from your avatar I think he is completly yorkie. I have a 12lb boy with big floppy ears and a thick coat, some people do tell me that he can't be a full yorkie but I assure them that he absolutly is. I actually love that he's bigger, he is so cuddly and enjoys nice long walks with me ![]() |

| ![]() I'd be willing to bet he is full yorkie, just larger. Just like people, yorkshire terriers come in all sizes. I had a long haired chihuahua that ended up being about 15 pounds and I know she was 100% chihuahua. There are quite a few 10+ pound yorkies on here and I know of two in my small town. I think in any breed you can find some alot bigger than the norm and some alot smaller. Ears standing doesn't really even have to do with size or purebred. Carmen Electra has a very very tiny yorkie(who you know is full blooded) yet has ears that lay down. While your boy is probably not quite what you pictured size wise, I'd bet he has the great personality yorkies tend to have.

| ![]() I agree with others that according to your avatar he looks like a Yorkie. When I bought Wistin, he had one brother. The brother was much bigger and ears down. The vet would be able to tell you for sure if he is mixed with anything. I bet he is just a healthy, happy big boy. Enjoy him he will not be as fragile if he keeps growing. From what I can see he is a real cutie.

| ![]() My daughter has a "yorkie" that is 11Ibs. I have a yorkie that is 6Ibs. and we bought them at the same time, the breeder swears that they are from the same litter, we had quite a discussion about the size and color. My Monty is dark&silver, Toby is silver with blonde head, and he has the biggest ears, When we brought them home they were both dark, almost the same size. We have talked with different owner's of yorkie's and they also say that they come in different sizes, we thought we had a "silkie". My daughter wanted a smaller size , so we got Tia, 3Ibs. She looks just like Toby (same Coloring) silver and blonde, go figure? So we have 3 different yorkie,'s, different coloring, but they are all the same to us, we love them to death, Toby(big gahoona) Monty (little boy) Tia, (little retreiver)I will get the pictures of all the babies, will have them soon, especially my Monty Nanagirl62 Last edited by nanagirl62; 09-12-2007 at 11:28 AM. | ![]() Our Tucker, also referred to as Tubby Tucker, is 14.5 pounds.........all yorkie! His parents were 4 and 4.5 pounds. He just kept growing and is beautiful. He has so much hair that one summer when it was hot I gave him a puppy cut because he was making me hot just looking at him. There is a thread on YT about teapot Yorkies. You will find there is a lot more to love with a teapot. First pic Tucker was just over a year old. He looks like his ears are flopped but his ears are small and he had so much hair that his ears disappeared. Second pic is on a "REALLY BAD" hair day. He took to digging a hole in the wet yard. It took three times soaping him up to get all the dirt off. The last two pictures were taken recently. He is my big boy.

| ![]() Just like everyone else was saying 12lbs doesn't make him not a yorkie. Ears come in all sizes and usually have to be taped or at least trimmed in order to stand up on their own. Its kind of hard to tell much from your small profile picture but looks yorkie to me, if he is mixed with anything I'd guess Silky, but still high probably he's just a bigger yorkie. Our little guy came from champion parents and has the same kind of tail it sounds like where its just a little longer than the normal docked length and curls up. I thought it was kinda weird at first but now love it! It gives him so much personality ![]() |

| ![]() I'm no expert but far as I can tell, he looks all Yorkie, and cute to boot. What is his name? He may get somewhat larger or may not. My two stopped growing at six months. I have to say ---- Tucker is a handsome boy. Love the picture of his wet yard adventure. |

| ![]() Thank you, we think Tucker is something else! The pictures don't really show just how dirty he really was. Thank goodness, he's never done that again.
