| grooming chin hair...? Paddington's chin hair gets matted from drinking water throughout the day. It seems painful for him when I brush it, but I hate for it to be matted all day long. Is there anything I can do to keep it from matting? He doesn't mat anywhere else, just under his chin! Thanks -O

| Coby's not "too" bad at letting me comb his chin, but I'm waiting for someone with a real trick for that dilemma to reply!!

| I call them "chin bangs" and I keep Otis's pretty short. Good luck.

| I trim Lola's as close to her chin as possible. Not really because it would get in the way, I just think it looks nicer.

| I've seen water bottles for dogs like the ones for hamsters with the metal rolling balls...They lick at it and the water comes out a little at a time. I haven't tried it, but I've thought about it. I just don't want them to lose the ability to know how to drink out of a bowl in case one day that was all that is available. |

| I'd either keep it short, or wash it with some detangler and then comb it through.

| My suggestion would be to put lots of conditioner on that area. (not the leave in kind. I don't mind the water on the face hair, but when they eat, they get a bit messy. I'm generally washing that area each evening during teeth brushing time. |

I'd also like to see pictures of the short chin hair. I am taking him to the groomer on Friday, and maybe I'll have them cut it short. I'll also try the conditioner! Thanks for the tips! -O
