We have one in Gizmo's crib at night. The problem with it is that it takes quite awhile to get a decent drink out of it. It's great for nighttime, but I wouldn't use it during the day. Just my opinion. So, they don't lose the knowledge of drinking out of a bowl, but I don't think he gets enough water.
