| My Yorkie Hi I am new to this forum, and happened by accident I found this site. The story of the Yorkie and the kittens does not surprise me in the least. I have a little girl who is now 2 yrs. and almost 3 mos. She had her first litter 2 weeks and one day ago. 5 precious ones, all very healthy. Anyway when she was 9 mos old before ever going into her first heat I was visiting my grandson in North Carolina. He had a Berman cat who was pregnant. The cat would not leave my Kerrigan alone kept hugging her. That evening on my bed with my Kerrigan the Berman began to give birth.(She almost had them on top of me and I moved her to my pillow just in time) Well as each kitten came out my Kerrigan began cleaning the kittens with the mama cat! It was amazing I could not believe it and yes I took pictures. It was around 1:30 am when this happened and when morning came (sunup) My little Kerrigan was in the box with the mama and the 4 kittens, I knew from that day forward just what type of a mother she would be. I was right she has been great!! Just wanted to let you all know this story. God has blessed us with special friends...to us Kerrigan is not a dog but a real family member ...she does't really act like a dog! Ladybird1957 |

| That is such a great story, Ladybird! I can honestly say that I hadn't planned on breeding Daisy but after this experience, I am really considering it. I've had two males offered for her already. I just don't know now... |

| Well, I don't have the original email anymore, but if I remember right, the tiger had to have its cubs taken away or had a false pregnancy, and they were trying to help with her depression. I doubt that they were photoshopped, I don't know for sure, but hey, it is cute and that's all I was going for.

| Your post brings back memories..... many years ago, I had a female Irish Setter who mothered a kitten and nursed her. Mandy loved that kitten just like it was her very own! |
