| Yorkies & the Beach question Hi Everyone! I have been wanting to take the Kiddies to the beach (Yes all 3 of them! ).. But I wasn't sure if this was allowed.. I've never taken any kind of pet to the beach, but i thought it'd be fun letting my little rascals run around chasing me and my boyfriend lol.. I live in Los Angeles, California by the way.. anyone in my area.. or that have taken their dog[s] to the beach.. do they have to be on a leash? do they have to have had their rabies shots? thanks in advance! |

| I don't know about where you are, but in my area - dogs are only allowed on most beaches from Labor Day until Memorial Day (I live in Boston - a lot of good that does me!!). I hope things are better in Cali. I would love to take mine to the beach!!

| i live in monterey and dogs are allowed on the beach....but the only problem i had with taking coco was that he got soooo much sand in his eyes so i felt really bad for him,but as soon as we got home i gave him a warm bath flushed out his eyes and he slept for 1 hour.

| My wife and I took our three babies to Newport beach last year and we didn't have any problems. We made sure they were on their leash because there were a lot of people and I didn't want my babies to run off. A lot of people stop to talk and pet our babies.

I took Pierce on vacation last February to Puerto Rico . He loved the beach, I will rinse him off as soon as he was out of the water and let him dry. He had a blast !!! Mia was 14 weeks and too baby to go in the water, but she got to sleep under a tree. Nana to Pierce & Mia | |

| There's a dog beach in Huntington Beach. It's where Goldenwest St and PCH meets. Check out www.dogbeach.org for their web site. I don't know of any other places closer to LA, but it shouldn't be too bad of a drive. |
