yes partis and Biewers are the same dog in the respect that they both started from two traditional colored yorkies. But the Biewers would not allow the paties to be registered as Bioewers because they do not have Biewer parents. All show breeders should know that.d All we want is to be allowed to do with the partis what has been done with the biewers. as for what show breeders do for the breed I have never said it wasn't hard work or that it was unimportant. But I do believe that they do it for a hobby and a challenge to see if they can improve their own line. the breed itself has already had many examples of the perfect yorkie, that is how they become champions. see just as everything begins to die down and we're all being respectful to one another someone comes in and wants to stir things up again. if you have no new information to add to what has already been said then all you are doing is reiterating what has been repeated over and over. it was a good debate, but everything there is to say has already been said and those who could not think of anything new to add resorted to making comments that had nothing what so ever to do with the original debate. the debate is over. The viewers will draw their own conclusions. thank you Lorraine and Mardeline for the intellectual discussion. |

All show breeders should know that.d Jeanie not all show breeders should know that, I don't know anything to do with the Doberman...I'm not interested, I know very little with the Biewer. All we want is to be allowed to do with the partis what has been done with the biewers. as for what show breeders do for the breed I have never said it wasn't hard work or that it was unimportant. You're wrong their is no or has there ever been a perfect yorkie or dog, no matter what breed. Even the breeders/and owners of these Champions can see how the dog can be improved on. And if they can't they are kennel blind. see just as everything begins to die down and we're all being respectful to one another someone comes in and wants to stir things up again. |

I have a problem with those johnny come latelys that come in to a debate at the end, and start repeating things that have already be discussed or making assumptions as to what my intentions, for want to breed the partis, are. perhaps I do get a little rude and impatient with them. I am not worried about what others are doing, but it certainly appears like there are plenty of people who are worried about what I m doing, to the point that they are telling me why I am doing it and what my intentions are. I'm just waiting for them to tell me what I am going to do with the fortune that I make from selling my "rare" dogs at exhorbetant prices. |

boy, talk about getting off topic!!!! We are all quilty of that in this thread. mary is right. just when things die down and people are playing nice, here comes someone along that hasn't been on the thread until today and tries to dredge the whole mess up again. with this reminder, I am moving on. here is the original question: Post number one The pet store who also breeds yorkie is very excited that he will have a chocolate yorkie which he claims to be very rare, I am looking for a second yorkie for my tanner to have a playmate, but I am not sure I would want and I never heard of a chocolate yorkie!!! what do everyone think? |

I should be allowed to breed and develop my dogs, just as you show breeders do. I don't need a judge to tell me that my dogs aren't perfect, I already know that. |

No, what a judge is for is to gain approval of your breeding quality dogs Showing is not for everybody, as breeding for the soul purpose for selling puppies is not for everybody (I know I can't do it, since I want to keep everything that is bred in my house, that is why I breed on a minimal basis). But, showing has educated me in what to strive for in my line. As some one else on YT said they have been on both ends of the spectrum and their eyes were opened when they began to show, and how her cute little female, was just that and no where near the standard. Dog showing is a sport and not for everyone, but it is a well respected sport, that has been in affect for centuries or at least a couple |

I vote this subject be brought up on another thread.....But, as an educational tool. With questions and answers. I'm always interested in learning. |
color nazi Well, someone has to be a color nazi!!!!!!!!!!! Someone has to be a correct structure nazi!!!!!! If it werent for the dedicated breeder nazi's, the yorkie wouldnt be in existance. Neither would ANY other breeds that are a registered breed of today. These are ALL man made breeds. If Hitler were still alive and well, we would all be blond haired and blue eyed. I guess he was trying to perfect the human race, just as breeders are trying to perfect a certain breed. Thank God he is dead, now we just have to deal with PETA. You may try to hide your snide remarks about show breeders(some are not hidden at all) but its your inuendo thatseasy to see. And if the parti gene is sooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to trace and will never be discovered, than how do you even know if Biewers, parti's, chocolates are not mixes of only a few years ago? Let me know when you have 100% conclusive proof that parti's are not a recent mix. And I will let you know when I am 100% positive also. Like I said, I will never change your mind and you will never change mine. Thank God for the past and present dedicated Yorkie breeders! |

I hope your question has been answered and you make up your own mind what kind of puppy you would like to have. I think the one thing that everyone can possibly agree on is, don't let someone rip you off with the "rare" word. Good luck in finding a playmate. |
breeders only making money I think you are mistakened in your thinking that breeders are LYING about making money breeding dogs. Almost every penny "made" on a litter, if they are even sold and not shown, is put back into the dogs. We are lucky to break even. I think you are the one just getting into showing. It is not cheap to show a dog yourself, let alone hire a handler. I have to work for a living and am not able to attend enough shows to finish a dog myself. So, I have to hire a handler. Just about the only people making any money in the sport of showing dogs are the handlers, the vendors and the dog food distributors. |

Im soooo hoping this has just been badly worded, it has to be THE worst thing i have ever read on YT. :thumbdown |
