I think this is just rediculous and cant understand why its still going after 20 pages...agree to disagree or whatever..its been debated for waaaaaaaaaay too long... |
sorry if Sorry if I offended anyone except, off course, the person who cheerfully commented that show breeders were color nazi's. That must have been another inuendo. But I am not sorry that Hitler is dead. Lynn |

I surly hope after 20 pages the O.P. got her question answered...I see the day she posted this she hasn't been back on Y.T. and a new member at that, I hope she comes back.. |
Go for it, choc colour sounds really nice to me, send photos |
People place importance on breeds and breed standards. I don't see any difference between a yellow lab and a chocolate lab, the same as I don't with Yorkies and Parti yorkies and on and on, I disagree with some breeders the way I disagree with pet stores and puppy mills, not all breeders are good the same as not all pet stores could possibly be bad. Just like an opinion, even mine is simply that, an opinion! PEACE!!! |

After reading this thread again, I realized for me anyway, it's not always what is being said thats offensive but how it is said. Many posts have a condescending tone that is easy to take personal. Or maybe I take them the wrong way hard to tell in reading typed words. In any event...nothing will change what each Breeder does. I wish all breeders luck in developing their desired lines and achieve everything they want! :goodluck: |

Well you know I do not dread you breeding Livi after all she is Diggys main squeeze!!! I wish you all the luck in the world and look forward to seeing your fur family! And YES to each their own. My mom always said you worry about yourself, as your head is gonna be alone on the pillow tonight! |
My baby is chocolate and I think he's adorable...I didn't pay more for him b/c he was chocolate colored I paid the same as his brothers and sisters were going for (regular colored). I think you should purchase whatever color you like. All Yorkies are adorable! |
I do not see anything wrong with getting a chocolate Yorkie. I do not like seeing prices jacked up because of a "rare" color, just like I don't like it when they sell "Teacups" or "micro" ones for a higher price. If yo like the different color of a yorkie then I see nothing wrong with getting it. The "rare" color does happen in litters and the puppy still needs a loving home! On the other hand, buying from a pet store supports puppy mills! Maybe you could research breeders that are selling in your area before buying from them. Ask others where they got their Yorkie from. Good luck getting a second pup! |

Good argument! No wonder so many issues for this! People like that, people like this, it is a point of personal choice! One sells that price, another buys that price, it is their business. What is the standard? Ask oneself! What is revolution? Should we never move forward? One wants to stay still, fine, one likes to move forward, just let it be! We are all adults who respect one another, listening & learning, it is a good way of communication, it is a flow of opinions. You Girls, are doing pretty well in discussions, bravo! Let's keep on loving our yorkies with our cares, the world is wonderful with our best friends whatsoever it is regarding to the colours, the sizes........ :) |
