| How long does it normally take? We have had Cooper now for 6 weeks and Ciera still will not have anything really to do with him at all. He loves to chase her and stuff, but she will just run and jump up on the couch or wherever she can get to get away from him. When I pick them both up, she will wiggle and squirm to get away from me because she doesn't want to be around him and when he gets out of my lap, then first thing she does is get in it. When he is playing with us, she will bark and bite at him as if she doesn't want him to have anything to do with us. How long does it normally take for them to get along and play together?

| I've heard that it can take from a couple of days to getting used to each other to "tolerating" and they're never really close. I hate to tell you that my two are the latter. My Brownie was almost 5 years old when I got Pepper and I've had him for about 8 months now and Brownie tolerates him, she doesn't play with him, doesn't even get close to him if she doesn't have to. It's getting better day by day and I still have that hope that they will be buddies, but I don't think it will be anytime soon. How long have you had Ciera? It gets harder as the first one gets older before you get a new pup I think........ On the other hand, I've had friends who brought the new baby home and it just took a couple of weeks for adjustment before they were stuck like glue. Good luck with your two and I hope they're best buds soon.

| That is what I was afraid of...Ciera just turned 2 in June so I thought it may not be a problem, but she acts like she does not want to get close to him at all.
