| I didn't do it either way. Gracie had one ear up and one down for the longest time. I shaved the top 1/3 of her ear inside and out. Then I simply folded the ear with the sides together so it looked like a taco standing on end with the open part in the front. I braced the ear with some scotch tape. She left it alone for about 24 hours. When she took off the tape, the ear was up and has not gone down since.

| Cutting hair on the ear Where exactly do you cut? The outside of the ear? The edge? My pup is 9 weeks old, should I worry that his ears are not up yet? Will he be prone to infections if they are not up? Thanks. |

| I shaved all over the top 1/3 of Gracie's ear, the sides, top and back. I used a small eyebrow/bikini line shaver. Worked like a charm and did not scare her.

| I shaved the inner and outter sides of the ear completely down with a trimmer. But BE CAREFUL if you are attempting the edges. Mckenzie moved on me, and I nicked her little ear. It was very small and didn't even bleed but I was so scared. One of her ears flopped until just about two weeks ago and she is around 6 months. |
