| ![]() When I had our Maltese, we paid only about $45 to have it done at our regular vet's office. I didn't realize that other vets charge so much! P.S. I don't know how I did this, but I accidently "reported post" with the above message. When they see the message, I'm sure they will realize that my intention was to post a REPLY. Ooops. |

| ![]() If your dog is above two pounds go for it. Not all people can afford to to pay a 2-300$ vet bill. I would definitely do it. This is what these programs are for. I asked why the cost can be so low sometimes and a vet told me that when they specialize in spays neuters and shots it cuts down the cost of paying more staff for surgeries and equipment cost for surgeries and other invasive procedures. Because they don't do the other stuff, the savings comes back to you. so just because its not expensive doesn't mean its going to be bad quality service. |

| ![]() As long as it's a reputable vet I'd go for it.

| ![]() I've had the same thought myself since I've spent at least 800 getting 3 neutered/spayed and I have one more to go.. but I don't think they do pre bloodowork testing and you get them back RIGHT after the surgery is done so it makes me nervous. |
