As far as clothes go, there are lots of members here who make great ones!

Also, for lots of other things, beds, toys (and clothes as well) eBay is great!

If your looking for blankets. Ms. Kimmie (Mz_s3ski_Kitt3n is her username) does a awesome job. her website is www.pamperedpuppalace.com I have 2 from her and Cody absolutely loves them. and i even snuggled with one during my nap they are comfy and keeps you warm!
She is running a special right now too!

I attached some pics. she even does matching pillows

i had mine customed made for a certain size. so you dont have to go that big. she will work with you. she is a nice person and easy to get along with

I love buying hair clips. I get them online(tinkerbellscloset.com or ebay). I really like the mini snap ones that are flat for sleeping in like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/Simply-Sweet-Bab...QQcmdZViewItem

Bobo dogs, small size are a must. I got mine at Petsmart. A good comb, shampoo/conditioner and a great quality food(I like Canidae, I think that's how it's spelled) and you're good to go. Really nice pet tags at www.rossipettags.com

don't forget training aids!
Clicker (I always advocate clicker training!)
Potty training spray
carpet cleaner/odor neutralizer
target stick (I don't think this is a must-have puppy item for most people, but it is what I used to teach paddington to walk on a leash, and go into his kennel)
a good book about training from the library (I like the complete idiots guide to dog tricks)
kennel
exercise pen

also look into puppy classes at pet stores near you. We took the puppy I class at petsmart, and I don't know where we'd be without it. I know a lot of people here go to petco for training too. Puppy classes are fun, and completely worth it when you have a new puppy! Our trainer taught us everything we need to know about grooming, puppy behaviors that we (humans) find odd, and how to start a trusting relationship with our new friends!

As for toys, someone gave me a bag of rubber ducks when I first got Bear, and they are his favorite toys! They are just regular rubber bath ducks from the dollar store (think of Ernie on Sesame Street) Also, there is this little red dog that has a bag inside it. The bag can be taken out and heated in the microwave for a few seconds, and replaced in the dog. It is very comforting for puppies who have just left their litter! Paddington Bear slept with his every night in his bed, curled up with it. I forget the name of it, but I got it at Petsmart... I've seen a cheaper version of it at target that is a blueish color- it's about half the price, so look there first!!!

oh yeah, and shop around for a vet, too! You'll want to have one in mind when you first get puppy, because you never know what could happen! You'll also need to take him/her to have a checkup very soon after getting him.

You could try posting in the regional forums, so that people in your area could give you information on their vets. Or you could look in the review section, you might be able to find one there thats in your area.
