| Therapy Dog Donating Member | Me, too, with German Shephards - I got attacked by one when I was little - but I now blame the owner - even though this dog was chained up - he broke the chain and got me. I'm surprised that I love animals the way I do because of that, but it's just large dogs I'm leary of - not that I don't like them - just don't want one. I'm content and happy with those that are knee-height or lower...lol...and I know they can get rowdy too but it's the size factor for me.

| Yes! My friend's bichon is nasty! She is the only bichon I have ever met that is like this and I know quite a few people who have them. She seriously looks like she is going to attack you and my friends dad is always worried that the dog actuallyy will. My friend always says she doesn't know what she did wrong and that she thinks Angel (the dog/Devil) was too "sheltered." It is crazy I always look at her dog and then Teddy and think how lucky I am. He loves everyone and is extremely affectionate. His biggest "downfall" is that he will hound you till you love him! He stops people on the street when I walk him and insists that they give him a little love! |

| Yes, I bought a Yorkie female once from a man. There was something he forgot to tell me. She ate her babies. I wanted to shoot her but, hubby made me sell her for pet.

| I love all dogs but I am weary of big dogs especially Rotts and Dobbies.I wouldn't mind having a big dog of my own but it will never be Rotts/Dobbies unless I am getting them as an adult and they have already proved themselves that they are the exceptional mellow ones. When I was a teenager, a Rott lunge at me when I was on my way home after school and the Rott's owner 'forgot' to put a leash on him while out for a walk.It was scary to have such a big and heavy thing charging at you and nearly bite my neck out of my body.I also am afraid of a friend's Yorkie because he will keep jumping and then proceed to bite the back of my shirt and hangs there for as long as his teeth would hold and it hurts coz he nips too.He wasn't like that when he was a puppy so I am not sure what changes him.I feel that the owner didn't give him much love and attention and the way he train his dogs is by yelling out loud at him and I do feel for the dog but it is not going to change unless the owner changes.

| I usually like most dogs, big and small. I'm not afraid of big dogs at all. I don't like dogs that slobber. And I don't like dogs the smell like dogs!!! My mom has a very large Great Pyranese and she has the widest rear end I've ever seen. She weighs about 150 lbs and literally can knock you over if you are too close to her as she turns. She is sweet as can be but very furry and she likes to get wet - so imagine 150 lbs of wet dog smell and drool everywhere!!!! She is definitely not my favorite dog!!

| Yes, I totally hate the two pit bulls that live in my complex. Both were rescues and are totally crazed. One moved two months ago and I was so relieved. Guess what moved in. Right, another pit who is not friendly at all!. It's owner, female, has trouble holding onto it when she walks it. Sorry, I don't trust or like pit bulls. I don't care who owns them! |
