I love all dogs but I am weary of big dogs especially Rotts and Dobbies.I wouldn't mind having a big dog of my own but it will never be Rotts/Dobbies unless I am getting them as an adult and they have already proved themselves that they are the exceptional mellow ones. When I was a teenager, a Rott lunge at me when I was on my way home after school and the Rott's owner 'forgot' to put a leash on him while out for a walk.It was scary to have such a big and heavy thing charging at you and nearly bite my neck out of my body.I also am afraid of a friend's Yorkie because he will keep jumping and then proceed to bite the back of my shirt and hangs there for as long as his teeth would hold and it hurts coz he nips too.He wasn't like that when he was a puppy so I am not sure what changes him.I feel that the owner didn't give him much love and attention and the way he train his dogs is by yelling out loud at him and I do feel for the dog but it is not going to change unless the owner changes.
