| ok, well im not 12 or 15, but i am 19 years old just turned 19 in June of this year. I got my Yorkie when i was 18 as a graduation present because i always wanted a Yorkie, so thats how my Oliver Dior came along. But I totally agree with you it is such a huge responsibility!! I am a college student so I know what its like to be having to go to school, hold a part time job, deal with homework and spend time with a 1 year old very spunky, all over the place, very busy Yorkie. My family has taken on some of the responsibility of helping me out. Just wait until you have to hold a part time job, school, and spending time with your beloved furbaby. |

| I am a student as well and also hold 2 part-time jobs, volunteer at the animal shelter and have a really busy social life. I live alone, so there is no one who can help me out, but I manage okay I guess. Yorkies are a huge responsibility, but I have learned that instead of dividing your time between your different responsibilities, you can multiply it. Just the same as a mother of 4 kids doesn't divide her love between 4, but multiplies it. This principle helps me a lot. I do run around a lot and don't have a lot of time for myself, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

| I'm also 18 turning 19 soon.... It is definitely a huge responsibility! but I'm appreciative to have family that will help here and there because they simply adore and love Missy with all their heart! She is our family member, everyone is caring to one another, so she is not excluded from any other family member. |

| I am 19, next month I will be 20! I have wanted a Yorkie since I was about 14, but didnt have the time or the money. But my story is a little different, I have been married for almost 2 years. Meeka and Diesel are totally our kids. So I work, do the wife thing and care for the kids! They are a lot of work but such a joy!

| I just turned 22, but I bought my first yorkie when I was 21 (at the end of June) and it's by boyfriends and mine. I'm working full-time and he is going to school and working part-time, so it's been an adjustment. But we are living with my mom right now because I'm taking a year off before law school, so that makes things a little easier. But it is a huge responsibility...financially, emotionally...everything but I wouldn't trade Lucy in for the world!

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm 14, but I don't own my own yorkie. I take care of them and stuff, but my parents pay for their vet bills, food, etc. I could never afford it right now! haha.

| I'm 18 and own my very own yorkie baby. I am a full-time university student, I work two part time jobs (45+ hours a week total), and I have a "healthy" social life. I can take Wobie with me to one of my jobs, most of my classes, and every social event I go to. So he doesn't get left alone more than a few hours a day. Sad to say, but I would not have brought him into my life if I couldn't devote enough time and energy to giving him the best life I could. Its hard to balance it all sometimes, but so worth it. Trust me, it will get harder when you have to handle all the bills by yourself, and have no one to watch your baby when you're at work or school, and fit in times for walks and stuff in between everything else you have to do. But as long as you love your baby and are committed to his well-being, you'll get through it.

| Oh goodness. Tell me about it! There have been too many times that I've bought new clothes for Wobie before buying myself a new outfit!

| I think owning a yorkie, let alone any pet, takes great responsibility and I think it's wonderful when younger people can take on the challenge and do a great job of it I'm turning 21 in September, but I did get my first puppy (Bella) when I was 16 and then Luigi this year. It definitely takes work but it does teach you a great sense of responsibility. Good luck to y'all and keep doing a great job taking care of your little furbabies
