| Our middle son "surprised" us Christmas 2006 with Moose . He had named him already. My husband always said, "we will never have a lap dog!" We've always had big dogs. My son said with naming him Moose, at least his name is a "big dog". Moose is a moose of a yorkie!! lol and we couldn't be happier!!

| A lot of you have great stories and places where your name came from... The second we first saw our baby, the name Peanut just came to me. It's not too original, but it's our baby's name. The wife gave him an extended name Peanut Pooh Bear. We call him Peana-Poo a lot! And of course bear, cuz we all know when they are standing up using their paws, they look like little cute grizzly bears... ROOARR!

| Violet We REALLY struggled to come up with a name! I literally scoured websites and name books trying to come up with something. We had LOTS of names that we really liked, but didn't have *THE* name until about 3 days after we got her. When it popped in my head we knew that was her name... Violet. My daughter's name is Olivia "Rose".... so Violet seemed to fit nicely in our little family!

| Higgins was sooooo little...... Higgins was 7 1/2 weeks old when he chose us. We had gone to buy a female from the breeder, but the little girl wasn't the least bit interested in us and Higgins was all over us with joy in his heart....well....I mean....who could resist? We had about an hour drive home to the campground we were spending the winter in, and discussed names. He was so little. Both of us thought of the name "Magnum" at the same time. But then we looked at him and decided that just really wasn't the right one. But remember Magunum P.I.? And the very English butler named Higgins? Yorkshire Terriers are an English breed, so we thought that a nice English name might encourage him to have nice English manners. HA! I've had a lot of dogs and various pets and three children, but none can hold a candle to the love I have for this, my last little baby! LOVE MY FURBUTT! |

| We came up with the name Emma in the car on the way home from picking her up. I wanted to name her something with "Emerald" in it, because I was born in May, and that's the May birthstone. We thought about naming her "Lily" because the flower for May is the Lily of the Valley, but my husband didn't like that-too foo foo for him, I guess. I also liked Daisy-my favorite flower, but again too foo foo for him, and Jessica Simpson named her dog that . The final criteria was that we wanted it to be "royal" because we knew our new puppy was going to be spoiled, so we came up with "Suzy's Emerald Princess", or Emma! We had a few different names in the running for our second Yorkie: Dori, Milli, Hannah, Pearl...but wanted it to fit with the theme of Emma's name, at least somehow. I liked the name Dolly too, but my DH wasn't sold on it. We decided Hannah was a good name, but it was more of a "people" name, and it sounded too much like Emma when calling it. Dori we really liked, but it's one of the friends' names on Finding Nemo, which could be ok...We wanted to see her before deciding on Dori, Milli, Pearl or a couple other names we liked too. After we saw her and got to know her a bit, we decided to name her "Suzy's Million Dollar Sapphire" (Milli). Sapphire is my husband's and my mom's birthstone. I joke that we should have named her Suzy's Million Dollar HEADACHE!

| We named Gracie Mae because I just liked the name. Hallee Ann got her name because we got her around Halloween(Hallee pronounced like Howlee) and Ann is because she was my anniversary present.

| names I didn't get either of the names i wanted. Our yorkie is Zoey and our shih-tzu/chihuahua mix is Boston. I wanted to name them cocoa(because she looked like a cup of hot chocolate with her brown/tan/white and wanted to name our boy Pudge(for Detroit Tigers Pudge Rodriquez) but the kids won and we got Zoey and Boston

| Otis was gonna be Tucker, but then he didn't look like a Tucker. I had a poodle a few years ago named Chloe, and one of my friends always called her "Otis". Everytime he called her that I cracked up. So I thought, do you look like an Otis? and he does.... Oliver was almost Oswald, but I didn't want people to call him Ozzie. I wanted something that went with Otis, so Oliver it was.

| Milo didn't have a name for quite a while after I got him. My boyfriend and I kept disagreeing on names. We were considering Dexter for a while, but he didn't really look like a Dexter. Then it came to a toss up between Milo and Oliver. After a couple of weeks of calling him puppy, I ended up naming my little baby Milo after that really cute Jack Russell Terrier in the movie "The Mask". Plus I totally adore actor Milo Ventimiglia, LOL...

| I wanted a nice english name for my little british dog and I enlisted my co-workers to help me come up with a good name. One day one of the guys from the office just happened to get off the phone with a Mr. Tetley of the famous Tetley tea family and said 'how about Tetley?'. I loved it and it stuck. (oh, and BTW, my co-worker did eventually tell the guy that some crazy chick from his office named her dog after him) LOL! I get compliments all the time on how original and fitting his name is! Also helps that Tetley IS my favorite cuppa tea. |

| Well Buzz was not the name that was 1st giving. My hubby wanted to name him ruff ruff so I had to do something to change this before he sent his paper work in. We are Disney fans so I started a search on Disney pet names. As we went down the list we would call him by it to feel it. As soon as I said Buzz his ears went up and It felt right so there you have it BUZZ! named after Toy Story for My Toy Dog!

| I came up with Sir Cody Blue by going through his parents pedigrees and picking names that fit, I gave him the Sir because his mom and dad are prince and princess. Although he has been called coconut, coco bean, boobear...........
