| What is YOUR yorkie's schedule? Ok, so some of you have replied to my "poo eating" thread, and here is the problem: Uno poops in the middle of the night, so obviously I can't get to it before he can. His schedule is usually as follows: 7:00am- go out to potty, come in and eat 1/8th royal canin babydog food. (he sometimes doesn't eat it all, and I take it away after he has lost interest and put that towards the 1/8th cup he will get at lunch. I'm not giving him 1/8th PLUS that food, it is part of the 1/8th). We then go outside again. ***usually poops 1:00pm- feed lunch, 1/8th cup we go outside. Will usually poop...(poop usually between 1 and 3...) 5-6- in between here we have supper...1/8th cup again. After this point we don't see a poo during all the breaks we take outside....so we know that he'll take a crap in the middle of the night I pull the food and water around 7-8ish at night. (I pull the food when he loses interest) My breeder recommended the 1/8th cup, is he eating too much?? I've heard that if they poop 2-3 times a day that's normal, but over that and you're over feeding. Question: Will you guys please tell me what your schedules are and the poop times?? I'm thinking maybe I should feed earlier? I don't know...I just don't want him waking up hungry. . .but. . .I don't want him eating his poop while we're sleeping!!! | My schedule is about to be changing some, but here is the old one: 1st feeding around 9:00am poops at 10:00am (normally) 2nd feeding around 6:30pm That schedule was during the week when I went to work - on weekends it depended on what time I got up. She hardly ever poops more than once a day and sometimes will skip a day if we're out of schedule. She actually never pooped today. This will be my schedule now (mon-fri) 1st feeding 6:45am 2nd feeding 5:30pm Same with weekends - depends when I get up in the morning

| What is your opinion for a 3 1/2 month old yorkie? I used to give Uno food at all times, leaving it in his pen. Then the vet said he was getting a little chubby (which he didn't look that way to me) so she said feed him 3 times, and pull the food when he loses interest. So...is 1/8th a cup 3x a day a good amount? |

| Don't know how much to leave out, I free fed mines since I had to go to work and left the food out. I think if they get out and take walks and run and chase balls etc., they burn off a lot of weight. Kodak gets up at 6:30 and Kamari follows suit and they scratch till I get up. They then eat as I refresh the water and give them soft food. After that it's outside we go because they've already used the pads anyway during the night. They usually hood their poop till we go out. Then I come back in and get ready for work while they look at me with sad eyes. They know I'm about to leave them.

| Mine pee and poop around 7ish and then eat. THen they have a million potty breaks. Dakota will eat again between 2-3, then pee/poop some more. Then they will both eat again between 7:30 and 8. Sometimes I give them snack between meals, especially Aubrey. |

| I have the same schedule as everyone else seems to. He wakes me to pee at about 7 am. he does poop every morning, and usually not gain during the rest of the day. Just in the morning , thas all. he eats at 9 about 1/8 of a cup he gets a snack(dog biscuit) around 1 pm he gets dinner around 6-7 He so he pees at 7am around 1-2pm and about 7-8 in the evening. His dinner meal he has to work for it kinda. We do tricks and feed him his food as a treat. That kinda helps him eat slower, and get some excersize in from Rolling over and jumping to give high fives and stuff. When he seems kinda weary we just give him the rest of the food he didn't do tricks for and thas that, I dont free feed because he is a porker if i allow that and will eat all his food in one sitting. |

| Layla has two scheudales... if we are sleeping in she stays in her crate until around 9 or whenever i get up then we go outside and poop she naps until around noon - she is NOT a morning person then eats whenever she wakes up... around 1/8-1/4 of a cup. if i work then we are up around 8 (it is torture trying to get her out of bed) she goes to work with me and plays for an hour.. then poops... and then eats.... she has a snack.. cottage cheese... around 2 then has supper around 6... and somewhere between snack and supper has a good long nap |

| Ellie's schedule is a little bit different on weekends then weekdays. First is her old weekday schedule and second is our new one. Free Fed kibble (usually ate about 1/2 cup a day) Pooped once a day (usually about 10am) Peed around 3-5 times a day Pee at 6am 1/4 cup food at 7 am Pee and poop between 9-12 1/8-1/4 cup food around 2 or 3 Pee at about 3 Pee at about 7 1/4 cup food around 9-11 Pee before bed She also gets treats throughout the day. I do not recommend feeding just any Yorkie this much food. Ellie is a unique case because it is hard to keep weight on her.

| I work full time so Buddy schedule is as follows: 6:00am - walk pee & poop 6:20 am - feed - NBO and fresh chicken breast brush teeth and comb coat 8:00 am - walk pee & poop 8:15 am - kiss him good bye for the day and leave him treats 5:30 pm - walk pee & poop 6:00 pm - feed - NBO and fresh chicken breast and veggies 8:00 pm - snack 9:30-9:45 - walk pee and turn in for the night. That's our schedule and Buddy knows it better than I do. If I am watching TV and forget it's 8:00 pm he will come and growl to me it's snack time. Schedule is modified for the weekends. He goes out around 11:00pm so we can sleep in until 8 -8:30. Other than that everything remains the same. |

| I would suggest not feeding after 4 oclock. This way he has time to poo before bedtime. I home cook for my dogs. They each get 1/4 cup of food at 7am and 1/4 cup at 4pm. It works perfectly for them. They sleep with us and have never needed to go out to potty before I get up and take them out. |
