| Questions on Yorkies Hi, Just want to ask some questions about other Yorkies and thier personalities. When I was talking to a co-worker about the loss of my Yorkie she said all Yorkies are alike. I know she has one, too, but I didn't think that was true. She said all Yorkie's chase after balls and run around and are barkers. I said that Mouse was actually pretty quiet - okay, except for when I would first get home from work - she DID bark a lot and run in circles around me but quieted down after just a minute. I loved the homecoming! Mouse also loved to play fetch and she'd crack me up if there was more than one ball. She'd try to carry one and herd the other one back to me. She just wouldn't give up either one! And if I ignored her she would first whine a little, then give a little yip and then she'd scuff her back feet like a mad bull and bark once or twice and move her head back and forth. She knew how to get your attention! Just thought I look to the bright side and ask for other stories about the fun and funny things Yorkies do! Thanks! Mouse's Mommy |

| I think all dogs have different personalities and its true that in HER HOUSE maybe all yorkies do act a like. Its kinda like people with children, the act somewhat different but for the most part the same. they are a family. so I think it depepnds on the role the dog plays in the family and the training that was used.

| Yorkies were not all created equal! I have found that most yorkies do love to play ball and are people and dog friendly. Well, not my Toby. We've had him since he was six months old and he gets along great with our maltese but is very shy and nervous around people and is an attack dog with any other dog. I have not seen this in all yorkies.......some are just the most even tempered dogs and energetic.

| I have two girls who are very different from each other. They both like to play, but in different ways. They are "yappy" in the house and sometimes in the yard, but never make a peep when we are out other places.

YT 2000 Club Member | I would have to say that I think that they can be different. My mom has 2 girls, Nelly and Sindee Lou, age's 3 and 1. They are night and day in personality. Nelly is a laid back girl until my mom is out of sight then she worries and cries for my mom. Sindee acts like she runs the show and is center of attention. She barks at the mailman, the paper boy, and birds that dare to use the birdbath! My friends Yorkie is super hyper and yippie so she is even different from my mom's girls. I am looking forward to seeing how Jeter turn's out. I am hoping that he is a bit laid back but spunky too! |

First and foremost I am very sorry for your loss. Sending warm healing thoughts your way...I love the name Mouse. It made me smile. You describled my Little Lucy to a T! I love homecomings to her. It is the only time she barks and squeals other than if there is someone at the door, then it's just a notification bark...lol. She is "fetch" crazy and will drive herself nuts to try and bring two balls back at once. I have no idea if all Yorkies are the same. From all the different posts on here it doesn't seem likely to me and what makes reading YT so much fun - all the different things our babies do
