Spay and teething question

I've been noticing that the "tinies" seem to teethe much later. Marcel is 2.10 pounds and he develops much later than others. His hormones didn't even start to kick in until about 6-7 mths.

I absolutely agree with everything you said. Trixie is more the average size at 4 1/2 lbs. and everything went so smooth. Then poor little Pia everything was so terrible for her. I have no idea how big Paisley will end up getting but she is still under 2 lbs. so I'm thinking maybe 3-4 in the end. I just wish by some miracle these teeth would start doing something, LOL.

I hear ya! I think Marcel's teeth finally started poking through around 7.5 mths - and they're still coming in. I'm so hoping that some will start to fall out or I fear he will be in so much mouth pain after his neuter.

If your little Paisley is 5 mths old and still under 2 pounds, she sounds similar to Marcel....and I feel he may be maxed here at 2 pounds 10 ounces...but we're still pushing for 3! (I think Marcel at 5 mths was 1 lb. 10 oz, at the most)

I sure hope little Marcel's teeth start to fall out on their own. I fear the same things that you do. It's bad enough that they have to be in pain from being spayed/neutered and the teeth adding to it makes me feel so bad. Paisley does sound like marcel when it comes to weight. She was at the vet yesterday and weighed 1.9. My vet was laughing so hard at her fat belly. It's kinda funny because they can still have these chubby bellies even at such a low weight. I think Paisley will be around 3-4 lbs. in the end. She loves to eat so maybe even more, LOL.

The good thing about the teeth removal at the time of the spay/neuter is that they come home with pain meds for three days post-op so that goes a long way to helping ease that pain. I would also suggest to soften up their food with a bit of warm water if you feed dry food like I do. That helped a lot with the teeth removal situation. Lulu was back to her normal self the day post-op. Eating and playing like normal. I think the only one hurting was me because I was scared she would bust a stitch. I do have to say she was doing way better than me when I had my tubal.

Thank you for the wonderful tips. Paisley is my little monster so I can see her being back to normal in no time, LOL. Your right though, it will be mommy worrying to death about every single thing, while she is feeling all happy on her meds.
