| Should I get a vaccination against Lime Disease? I'm going to take Lilly into the vet on Tuesday and they asked me if I wanted to get her a vaccination against Lime Disease. They said though it's not standard I should get it if I live near a wooded area. I'm going to be living in an apartment and plan on walking her around residential neighborhoods. Should I get it or not?

| Ellie has never gotten the Lyme Disease vaccine and never will although I would be very nervous if I lived by a wooded area. The only 2 she will be getting from now on are Rabies and DHPP. We are taking the less is better approach because she went into shock after her last vaccines.

| I get Buddy that every year. Where we live the deer walk around like domestic dogs therefore there are deer ticks all over I would assume. I am not willing to take a chance on him getting sick so he gets the shot yearly. There were two dogs with lymnes disease last year and it took them sometime to re-coup. I guess you have to make that decision on your own. Are there lots of deer an wild animals where you live? |

| Mine get it too and this year I was glad they did. I found a few ticks on Mr. Simon and got very nervous. We live in an apartment complex but near a heavily wooded area. |

| We get the Lyme vaccine for Rudy also. The houses right across the street, in back of them are woods. And our vets said that Lyme disease has been prevalent in our county.
