Personally I only do what is absolutely necessary, shots are not harmless, you have to weigh the risk(of contracting Lyme, just because you MIGHT find a tick on him, doesn't mean it had Lyme)to the benefit of the shot...I posted this link a while back so people can see just who is at risk and who is not....
