| well Frankie is almost 9 months... and he is still all black and tan =] i love it! he has a very little silver on his head... from what i understand- if they turn silver... it would start around 3-4 months. Frankie has one ear up, and one ear down! lol

| My Hoku is 9 mos., cottony coat, black & tan. No matter what I do her ears still droop so I think that's how they'll stay.

| Aubrey is 10 months old, and hes just starting to get a little grey, but hes brown and black. Also, I didn't think there ears stood up unless they are clipped, is this correct? |

| no... not at all. his hair is very short and thin so maybe that had something to do with it. |

| I'm not sure that that's right . I actually wanted Max out of the two puppies left in the litter of 3 b/c one of his ears flopped down....it stood up on it's own a few weeks later (we got him at 12 weeks). But he's stayed pretty dark and tan and he's almost 2 1/2 yrs old now. He does have some silver on top of his head, and if we let his hair grow out more than we usually do, I think he'd have a little more than we realize, but he's stayed pretty dark. We are happy about that, b/c we always said we hoped he'd stay looking like he did when he was a puppy.....I do want to get a female though, and I hope she'll have more blonde color in her ...one of each .

| My Ben is 16 months and he is still black and tan (with a bit of grey), he has a soft/wooly/thick coat and his ears are down. Indy and Malachi's ears stood up without being clipped or taped. |

yeah its true.... here are my boys. One has a cotton coat... can you tell which one? hes all black & tan, no silver... the other one has a silkier coat and started turning silver by less than a year old. Also I think (and Im not 100% positive) that its too late to get pointy ears at your pups age now. Thankfully floppy ears are ADORABLE! HEHE one of my boys has a silky coat and up ears, the other has a cotton coat and 1/2 floppy ears. They are brothers from the SAME exact liter! go figure!
