. I actually wanted Max out of the two puppies left in the litter of 3 b/c one of his ears flopped down....it stood up on it's own a few weeks later (we got him at 12 weeks). But he's stayed pretty dark and tan and he's almost 2 1/2 yrs old now. He does have some silver on top of his head, and if we let his hair grow out more than we usually do, I think he'd have a little more than we realize, but he's stayed pretty dark. We are happy about that, b/c we always said we hoped he'd stay looking like he did when he was a puppy.....I do want to get a female though, and I hope she'll have more blonde color in her
