| "Fraidy Cat , or a Phase ???? My little 4 month old Benji is a Fraidy Cat !! When my other 2 dogs bark at something , Benji does a circle and runs to me to hide !!! When we go out for walks and he hears a dog bark he starts shaking, and doesnt enjoy the walk anymore !!! He is afraid of other dogs.....even other Yorkies smaller than him !! Even if the other dog is calm, Benji tries to climb up my head, gets wrapped around my neck and wont even LOOK in the direction of the other dog !!! He loves to meet people, and wags his little tail and gives kisses.... Is this a phase, or are some Yorkies always afraid of other dogs ??? I want him to be social and get along with others dogs !! He is a little terror, loves to wrestle, run play, and get into trouble , he is NOT a timid dainty dog !!!! Last edited by Miz Mary; 08-09-2007 at 09:52 PM. Reason: added info |

. You need to maybe be the mediator between the scardy cat and your other two dogs to help him gain confidence. With better socialization between him and your other dogs maybe he will gain more confidence as he will know that he is part of the pack and the members of the pack will help protect him. | |

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Has he been with you long? I ask because my Lacie was in a kennel for 5 months and she is scared of the world. She is getting better with short trips into the big wide spaces.. give it some time and spend it with him ... he may get more brave soon. Good luck
