| Harness My little one only wears a harness, I take it off when she is in the house as I am always afraid she will catch it on something. j

| Welcome to YorkieTalk! Ellie's harness comes off whenever she is inside. She wears nothing around the house. I think a harness is a little bit too bulky to have them wear all day. It is a great idea to get a harness though. Please never use a collar on that baby.

| Welcome to YorkieTalk. This is a FANTASTIC place to spend time with other Yorkie Lovers. Please use a harness with your new baby. My kids do not wear harnesses or collars inside, only when we go for walks and/or on trips. |

| Hi...my lucy is 17 weeks old and I keep her harness on her all the time because we are housetraining her and it's just easier when we catch her in the moment. But eventually we plan on putting a collar on her while she's inside and the harness while she is outside. I just ordered some silk harnesses from Chattie's mom they are step-in and they don't go around the puppies neck, they should be arriving any day now! I have heard only great things about them!

| I use a step in harness for both my yorkies because this breed is known for collapsed trachea problems so anything around the next isn't a good idea. Also, I can easily lift mine up if a larger dog attacks. I don't like to leave it on because of hair matting especially on my silky, she gets knots quickly. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Harnesses Does your dog make a choking noise when walking or it's leash??? My Yorkie does and my friend recommended using a harness... Harnesses don't tire them out as much and they make walking more comfortable (when your Yorkie gets used to the harness)...hope this helps. God Bless |

| The first month I taught him to heal on a leash and a collar, Now I am into having a harness to walk him and a collar and leash to for his obedience training. It does not bother him at all because he does not pull anymore on the leash and collar and heels very well. If you teach them how to heel properly its not going to be stressful on their tracheas. IF your not gonna teach ur dog to heal properly then you may as well go for a harness as soon as you can afford one. Like i said i keep the collar on him even in his harness because i dont want him to run away or get lost with no ID. I can walk with him off leash as well but still with no leash I want some ID on him at all times. Kisses! |
