The garage door had a row of tiny windows at the very top that were tinted very dark - like very dark sunglasses. One needed a tall chair or ladder to get high enough to even see through them. Even if you did see through the window, unless the light was on in the garage, one wouldn't be able to tell very well what kind of dog one was viewing - just the size of dog. Maureen said they cracked the bottom of the garage about 3 inches and were feeling inside when her husband was there. Frankly, these weren't the greatest conditions to view dogs. When I was first told about this Maureen, I was only told about dogs in the garage. Later, when another person reported the story there were dogs in the backyard as well. Maureen told me that later as well, although the number of dogs and puppies changed a bit between versions. I think it was just very difficult conditions to really view anything clearly. |

Maureen and Galatea - I'm so glad you two were there together, supporting each other. I am SO sorry, Maureen, that this was not your little Zeke - I was hoping you would find him here. The dogs you did find, were those in good conditions? Little Tahoe looks like he had pee all over his bed where he was laying. Those pups are certainly cute...and...chocolately looking??? Interesting colors. Maureen, I'm sending good thoughts your way - I wish you and Zeke could find each other, and I'm still hoping this is the case. |
Zeke Maureen, I am so sorry that Zeke was not one of the dogs that you looked at yesterday. But keep the faith I believe he will be found it is only a matter of time. Remember the dog that was missing for 6 months and was returned to it's owner. I pray that whoever has him will bring him to the vet's and he will get scanned and the vet will question the person who has him and call you. I will continue to pray for Zeke's return. Galatea, It was so nice of you to make the trip to Modesto to help Maureen. God bless you for all you have done. j:) |

The animals appeared well cared for. The oldest of the grandchildren appeared to be a 16-17 year old girl and she said they stayed there to take cre of the dogs while grandma was at work. |

Thanks!!!!!! Galatea, It was so wonderful of you to make the trip to Modesto, to do whatever it would take to get ZEKE back to Maureen, I, and I know everyone on this thread is very grateful for all you have done to help solve this nightmare Maureen has had to be living in for the last 8 weeks. You have been a blessing to everyone here, and have given all of us peace of mind and hope, that you would be able to find ZEKE, I think everyone on this thread thought Tahoe was ZEKE, with the exception of a few, I think the main reason being, we so wanted him to be ZEKE, we all so bad wanted a happy ending, and the heartbreak of Zeke still not being found is devastating to say the least. Galatea you went above and beyond what anyone would do to help bring Zeke home, I don't know of many Lawyer's that would take their vacation time to help for free, and work so hard to help Maureen and everyone on this thread, the information you provided gave us, the legal steps needed to be followed, you gave us hope, you were our much needed leader in our greatest time of need, a thank you will never be enough for all you have done, you are indeed a person that anyone would want in their corner, you are a fighter, you are focused, and when on a mission, you allow nothing to stand in your way, you are a hero to all of us, I hope you know in your heart what you have done for all of us, and Mostly for Maureen, you are just the best of the best, thank you so much. We didn't find Zeke, but you were able to at the least close that door, knowing that that family is a loving and caring family, taking very good care of their dogs and puppies, and I know that warmed my heart, and at least we do not have to worry about a bunch of adult yorkies or puppies not being well taken care of, and even tough ZEKE is not home, we can all rest in peace knowing that there are no puppies being abused, and that door can be permanently closed!!!!! I wish we had the same closure of the Wal Mart tapes, but that is another chapter, and another possible lead, we still remain hopeful. We have the Vets, Shelters, and can continue to post fliers, till we get another lead to pursue. I know if we ever get close to finding Zeke that you will be in our corner, ready, and willing, to help, and that gives us all peace of mind at the least. Thank you our friend for all you've done, the Lord is looking down on you and smiling for all the help you have been to all of us. May he Bless your Life in many, many ways, as you have blessed ours. Hugs, and Love to a wonderful lady!!!!! Jeannie |
Message from Spain Hi all, Aaah..... I am at the airport in Madrid, and just wanted to check in here because I was so very hopeful that Zeke had been found; this is only the 2nd, brief internet connection I have had. (Kathy, thanks for the reply). I just don't know what to say; I am saddened beyond belief that Tahoe turned out not to be Maureen's precious Zeke. I have very little time, the connection keeps dropping, but I just wanted to say - Jeannie, welcome back Hon - what a pleasure to see you here again; Galatea, I have no adequate words to describe my admiration for you... you have gone to extraordinary lengths for Maureen. Lastly Maureen, I can only imagine your anticipation, your pounding heart, as you were taken into that room where you thought you would find Zeke. I could not see your face in the pictures, but I can only imagine the sadness, the terrible disappointment you must have been feeling, holding that little dog that was not your beloved Zeke. My heart truly goes out to you Honey. Please know, that since I have left USA, you have been on my mind a lot. To all of you wonderful, amazing people that have persevered with such determination in your effort to help a fellow Yorkie Talker ....... BRAVO TO YOU ALL! :bravo::bravo::bravo: |
Laurenr Ahhhhhhh Spain, You better watch out for those sexy Spaniards, tell your husband to hang on to you for dear life, and have the time of your life, Spain is soooooooooooo beautiful, it sounds like you are really getting around on your vacation, and having a well deserved break, can't wait to hear all about it and see some pictures of where you have been, we could all use some uplifting news!!!!!!! We all miss you, and thank you for taking time out to post!!!!! You are in charge of having all the fun you can muster in, when you get home we can't wait to hear about you beautiful vacation!!!!!! Hugs, Jeannie |
Hi every one!!! Lauren, I'm sorry you didn't get the news we prayed for...Zeke was not found yet. Hope you are having the time of your life, and we know you have been thinking about Zeke throughout your travels...A big hug to you!!! Jeannie...What can I say, we are all heart broken, and sorry this was not the path to Zeke...but at the very least, we do now know that the dogs and puppies there are being taken care of, which in my mind is quite a relief. My hope now is that Zeke too is being taken care of and loved by some one...some one that isn't aware that he is missing his family...he is micro chipped and hopefully one day, a vet will scan him and contact Maureen. I too want to take this time to thank galatea...without her guidance, we may still be on the wrong track...again. Tahoe is Tahoe, not Zeke...I am sorry, but at least we now know this for sure. That door is now closed...and I'm sure more will open, as we continue with our wishes, hopes and prayers for Zeke to come home. My heart is heavy with the aching and breaking, Maureen...A big hug to you, I wish there was something I could do to make this easier for you...you've become a wonderful friend and I'm here for you if you ever need any thing. Chins up people...we still need to focus, think positive and have good vibes. Zeke where are you sweetheart, please come home!!! |
Thank you to those of you who have said such kind things about me. Love to you all. |
I think we all need time for this to settle in. Jeannie - that was a beautiful post and I really appreciate your for putting it all into words. Love to all of you, Judy |

I was not mistaken there were 3 adult dogs in the garage and I saw them very clearly that is how I knew the 1 looked like Zeke... As you can all see he look very much like Zeke. I was wrong about the number of puppies though I only saw 4 but there were actually 7. The other three could have been under the car or in the house I dont know, but I do know what I saw. I have always said we thought there were at least 8 dogs there... not counting the puppies... There were 5 or 6 dogs on the side of the house! When my husband and I walked up that day we heard a lot of barking but yesterday when we approached there was NO barking I found that very strange. I dont know why they were not barking but that does not mean they were not there. Like I said, I know what I saw! **QUOTE***When I was first told about this Maureen, I was only told about dogs in the garage. *** If I failed to mention the other dogs it was not because they were not there but because my thoughts were on the dog in the garage that looked like Zeke. As for the conditions of the dogs... The mom had golf ball size matts in her coat I could feel them when I picked her up. I could feel and smell the urine on her. "Tahoe" was not as bad, he had only a few small matts that could have been removed with a good brushing but he too had urine on his coat. The puppies where fat and happy that I will agree with. |

What??? Quote:
These dogs were NOT in great condition... They were fed, none of them were skinny or mal nourished, but they were filthy and covered in pee! As for the granddaughter she said they were there to watch the dogs. They did NOT say they stayed and took care of the dogs while the grandmother worked! IMO They were there because animal control came the day before and she was scared or someone saw us looking around. Galatea why do all of your posts make me out to be a lier??? I will no longer be posting! I am NOT a lier nor have I EVER given any misrepresentations on what I have found! I no longer want to fight for my honor because all I want is Zeke to come home! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every ones help but this is just getting too hard to deal with:( For those of you that would like to know when Zeke comes home:xfingers: PM me and we can exchange email addresses |
To every single person on this thread and the other one. Bet you all thought I was through, buy now you all know I love to thank people where thank you is due!!!!!! Well here goes, you all have been amazing, with out all your hard work dedication, support and prayers for the last 2 months, yes you all have been with us for two months, getting every one on the same page, getting everyone hopeful, sending prayers, lighting candles, don"t think for a minute that you are not the REAL HEROS, you are the ones that posted day and night, every day for almost 2 months, never giving up for a minute, willing to do anything it took to help get that little boy home. I have never in my life witnessed such a large positive group of people, pulled together by the bond of love for animals, wanting and willing to go all the way with the search for Zeke, with the Help of Maureen, leading the way, giving us clues, giving us hope, you all followed, and when we needed the advise of a lawyer, Galatea appeared, only after we did all the footwork, and knew that we were at a point where we needed help, we needed legal advise. Bless her for being on line!!!!, To help when we so needed her. However, you all were the ones to keep all of us going, giving ideas, checking out leads, sending love, hope, and prayers for this to be the lead that brought ZEke home. You all did this, and you all deserve so many blessings in your lives for sticking it out for the long, long, haul, you are the real Heros, and Heros are never forgotten, so know that without all of you, none of the above would have happened. Know we still need your love, support, and prayers, where Galatea stepped down, you are all still stepping up to the plate to help, you are the courageous ones, and each and every one of you need a big hand for all you have done and are continuing to do to bring this little guy home. May God Bless each and every one of you for staying power, it is such an honor to know a little about each and everyone of you, and what you are made of, and that is pure GOLD, thank you will never be enough, I just wanted you to know how we all feel about YOU, and YOU all know who you are, one of the largest groups of loving and caring people I have ever run accross in my lifetime, and I'm an old lady. May God Bless and be with you, every single day of your lives! Jeannie |
Maureen Sorry My and our Sweet, Sweet Girl, you are not getting off the hook that easy, no one on this post has ever doubted your word, and Galatea is a lawyer, and only gives as little information as needed. She did what you asked, however there was so much more that needed to be addressed. After talking to you today, I would really think it would be wise to watch that house like a hawk, she had a lot more dogs than she let you see, that is why the blue Van was parked there the next day to get rid of the dogs that they were going to be caught with. I am sure on Mon. there will not be one dog on that property!!!! This lady does have something to hide, now we hear the other side of the story, and this chapter for sure is not closed. This gives me some more hope, as if the grandmother only had 2 adults and puppies she would have nothing to hide, she knows she is in trouble, and I would not be surprised if we know very little of what has really gone on behind closed doors. Maureen could you or your husband stake out the house, or Scott, or some of the volunteers, to find out where all these dogs are going to be taken, I am sure she has lots to hide after talking to you today. Honey, do not quit posting, we all know that you are not anything be honorable, this thread has been all about you, Galatea had a very small roll, and she did what she came to do, find Tahoe and see if Tahoe was your dog. I am sure there are many more dogs out their, maybe we need to get a rescue group out their asap, to pick up all the dogs and puppies on the property before they are forever gone. Their could be many more than what you were able to see. I know you heard a lot of dogs, and I know that is the truth, they had plenty of time to clean up the Garage, and they for sure had time to place a lot of the adults, as you did not hear any other dogs barking. I have a feeling Animal Control scared the pants off them, I am sure the Blue Van had probably taken some of the dogs off the property, and I am sure by Mon. there will not be a trace of a dog or puppy. Something is up and we need to watch them like a hawk. Maureen we need you to lead the way, this case is far from being closed, come on ladies and gentleman, lets get ready for round two!!!!!!!! Maureen, see if you can get Scott to watch the house, and if any dogs are removed follow them. They will probably all go to the same place. We need to get people to watch that house, and see where they are relocating dogs, this is not over by a long shot. Let's re group, and see what steps need to be taken to not allow these people to get away with all these animals, if we don't act fast they are gone. So Maureen, you get right back here on line, we all need you to lead the way, we need to talk about this so some decisions can be made, so please get back on board, being in the dark is no fun for anyone, and we all did just fine knowing everything, that is how we managed to get to the grandmothers house in the first place. Please do not, and I repete do not think you can leave now. We all will not stand for it!!!!!. You are not a quiter, and will not let anyone or anything said get in the way of your finding ZEKE. You need all of us, and we can not do this without you!!!!!!! So honey climb on board, and lets get down to business, this is not over by a long shot. The Grandmother needs a lot more survallance, she is hiding something and it could just be ZEKE and Cosmos!!!!! Come on every one, we need your advice and help, where all are all of you, someone needs to call the ASPC now!!!!!! They must act fast to get her dogs that are at the house, or we need to sit tight and find out where she is taking them. Galatea did not call you a liar, she only reported what she saw, she was not there when you and Mike were their, you both saw dogs in the yard, and two many in the Garage to count. Come on now, we are all behind you, and this door just blew wide open, let all go in and get this solved once and for all. Hugs Sweet Girl, get back on line, and back on board so we can help you. Otherwise, I will call and sing to you 24/7, and I know you don't want that. Jeannie |
I'm still here...and willing to help. So do we watch this place 24/7 or do we contact somebody to just go in there. My friends husband happens to be the animal control officer in my town...he said here, he could not enter the premises without a "warrant"...He would have to go through the grandmother, she would have to allow him in her home, garage and yard to inspect it. Is this the law there in California??? So on Monday when the animal control officer goes there...if she/grandmother does not allow his/her entry...he/she would still have to get a judge to issue a warrant. How many days will that take... What is this about a blue van??? Run the plates...is that okay to do??? |
Well, I am finally back home and just had to get to the threads about Zeke. I have been reading almost all of the posts in this new thread and my heart is breaking that Zeke still hasn't been found!! I really hoped I would get to read good news!! How very sad it is that that wasn't the case!! Maureen, I hardly know you - I was away from YT for so long and then when I got back, I read your very first posting about Zeke. I am one of the ones who donated to the cause and I pray that there were lots more this past 2 wks and that it is all helping you with the expenses needed to find Zeke!! Maureen, please come back and post so we can continue to help you and support you in this most horrifying experience!!! I say ditto to everything that Donna has just posted before me!!! Take care and know that everyone is beside you in this search for Zeke. Those of us who can't be there physically, are there mentally, emotionally and spiritually!! I will continue to pray for you and Zeke!! |
I still feel we need Amimal Control on board, and the pictures Galatea provided will become useful in getting to the rest of the dogs. I am sure the relocation started right after Animal Control left. That is why Galatea said what she did, the dogs were gone, please try to remember that. She is a Lawyer and a good one, she only reported exactly what she saw. You were on ground level with the dogs, holding all of them, feeling matts, smelling urin, Sweet Girl, we need to act fast. Please have someone watch the house, maybe we will be lucky and be able to follow them, and that could lead us to the rest of the dogs. This is very serious to letting you see the puppies to slaming the door in your face, and telling you all the dogs will be gone. Everyone needs to know everything, we need to make some decisions as a group so we can cover all points. We need direction again. Maureen, please post what you would like to do, or think we should do. I think we need to follow the cars that are relocating dogs, we only have the two adults left and puppies, I think they will all be at the same place, what does everyone else think, please we need some help here. Jeannie |

We need help for survallance!!!!! We need to be watching now, Monday will be way to late, Animal Control can do nothing to help, we need to be undercover!!!!! Help, someone get some help to Modesto to do survallance NOW!!!!!!!! |
Maureen, I beg of you...don't bail on Zeke. You have so very many people here on YT that support you 100%...it is ultimately your decision as to which road to take, but it is also only you that can lead us to Zeke. Come on, please. It is too hard to keep in contact with all the well wishers and support by email or phone. Only here on YT can we throw ideas back and forth and get answers quickly. We can take a vote...how many people want Maureen to stay and help look for her precious boy Zeke????????????? I'll vote first: Yes Maureen stay, let us help you, help Zeke!!! |
Quote:
Hurry girl, we have never, never let you down, please do not let us down now when you need us the most. Please I beg you before it is too late, Please!!!!!!! |

Let's not let this "nose dive" again because she is very close to where Zeke is being hidden. She isn't about to give up her quest for Zeke, posting perhaps. Let's calm down and give her breathing room. Warmly, Deborah |
I see Maureen's off line...gone to get help I hope, to do surveillance. Jeannie I hope you can keep in contact with her by cell phone. Praying...... |

I am confused about what you are saying Jeannie. Did animal control already go over to the house before Maureen and Galatea got there? I thought the lady from animal control didnt even come back on duty until Monday. Why do you think they are moving dogs and have something to hide. Surely if they did they did they would have told the kids not to let anyone into the house. Did Maureen or Galatea ask the kids how many yorkies they have? You cant just go with a rescue group and confiscate peoples dogs for no reason. How do you know the blue van is even theirs if the plates were stolen? Please help me understand all of this. |
maureen didnt say she was giving on fiding zeke she is just going to do it more privatley. everyone has a opinion but its is maureens decision if she wants to let us in or not i understand totaly where she i coming from. lets give her a little space. genie |
I think ya'll are overlooking one vital point. Tahoe is the dog Maureen thought was Zeke and only Tahoe. She reports dogs in a backyard but those animals weren't identified as yorkies...they could be any small dog if indeed they were in the backyard...perhaps they were in a neighbor's yard. |
