Maggie doesn't look like a yorkie?????

years ago, when my daughter was a newborn I had her in a pink stretch outfit, pink bonnet with dark pink rosebuds, and a pink blanket....a woman peered down at the baby and said"oooh cute, is it a boy or girl?" people can be pretty ignorant....or unobservant!!!

Wow - that must have been one BIG -A__ dalmation .
I had my dtr all decked out in pink one time (she was about 9 mos. old) and the checkout lady said "My, he's a cute little boy". I said "She's a girl". The lady said "Oh, well, he's cute anyway" . BIG DUH!

ease up buddy i think she was taking the fact that you said kids 12 and under are honest.

yes, kids are pretty innocent. that's a given. but some kids have never been taught when to just not say anything. i don't think this girl was necessarily being rude, but i would never go up to someone who had a daughter and say "your girl looks like a boy". it's insulting and sometimes, if you don't think something is quite right, you just keep your mouth shut. some kids just have not been taught. that is more of how i took this than anything,. i am not angry,. and i do not feel the need to say anything to the kid...or her mother...but it just goes to show that people need to teach their kids some tact. i think that is what most people are trying to say here....that kids really need to learn "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".

some people on the internet need to learn the same lesson LOL (not directed at anyone in particular so let's not all go on a rant LOL)

My goodness! What a pretty yorkie. That little girl was either just trying to act grown up and start an adult conversation, or she was just mixed up about how a maltese looks. either way, she was wrong. Your baby is so yorkie through and through; but if she were to be mistaken for another breed, a maltese is sure a cute one too. sometimes it is hard to not react to things said about our fur babies, I'm not nearly so protective of my skin babies ( of course they have never been refered to as a maltese)

I am very at ease however when taken out of context honest can mean lie but in the context of what it was said it was obvious that i didn't mean lie, i meant honest enough to speak their minds.
