| Pee Pads Help!!! Hi everyone, I'm having trouble with the disposable pee pads. I us the arm & hammer ones. I really like them because they don't smell @ all. My little boy has been using them since he was pup and they don't leak with him becauser he's so tiny. My girls just had pups last week and she's been using them during the night. The problem is she's soaking them and pee is going right through I have a mess all over floors every morning. Any advice? I can't put pee pads in any type of litter box because they won't use iike that. I'm thinking of ordering washable pads, but my concern is will they smell? Thanks

| The washable ones are awesome! I ordered mine from http://www.valethics.com They have used and new pads, and I've ordered both. I'd go with new from now on, they are much thicker. They won't smell if you wash them with detergent, bleach in hot water, then do a second rinse with about 2 cups of vinegar in it.

| The reusable from valethics are very thick. I have 2 adult boys and they have never soaked through. I do put waterproof mattress pad underneath the reusable pads just in case, but they have never leaked through. They are very thick and heavy and wash up nicely. I use one a day and have never noticed a smell!

| We tried so many brands and the Arm and Hammer ones from our experince are not the best. We LOVE Nature's Miracle (they are green plastic backing, not blue). They are more expensive than the other, but they work really, really well. They come in a 50 pack for about $30. Right now because we use so many pads for two dogs, we buy the 100 pack from Advance or Four Paws for about $38. The Advance ones are slightly better than the Four Paws brand - but we take what we can get. Last edited by Gina2Westies; 08-02-2007 at 06:36 PM. |

| I've never tried the Arm & Hammer ones. I can't remember the name of the ones I have. I got them from PetSmart, they have blue backing. Jake never soaks through his, and they don't smell at all. I've never used the washable ones, but I've thought about it. Others here use them and love them. I sometimes change his pad 2-3 times a day, depending on how much he goes. And, I pick up the poop with tissues and flush it because I don't want to look at it all day. I've never had a problem with them smelling bad.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I use the Jumpstart by Simple Solutions and get them online for about 20.00 for 50. They are great but pricey

| We started with the Simple Solution Economy ones which worked well, but they use them so much it really adds up. So, I also started buying from Valethics and got the new small ones. I LOVE them. They wash up nice and they have never leaked. I also run two rinses and add vinegar to the last rinse. Just a cup though. I only wash about 4 at a time. The only time I use the disposable ones is on trips. |

| Pee Pad Holder We use a pee pad holder. It puts the pad in a plastic holder and never leaks. I also helps prevents the puppy from shredding the pad as well as moving it. Here is a link to one at Amazon, they come several sizes. http://www.amazon.com/Iris-301561-Pr...6226251&sr=8-3

| I have tried several brands of training pads for Spanky and the best are Precision Little Stinker pads. Liquid turns to gel, so urine never runs off the pad or soaks through to the floor. You can do a search online to find them or there is a person who sells them on Ebay. 100 NEW LITTLE STINKER PUPPY TRAINING WEE WEE PADS - (item 220130739938 end time Aug-12-07 13:44:33 PDT) Last edited by MGB; 08-06-2007 at 10:07 PM. |
