Tammy your lit Livi is soooo cute, is she a Biewer? This may sound like a dumb question but I just discovered this breed existed a couple of days ago thanks to this forum

.As for the need to have electric clippers or a special razor to trim the hair off, I don't think it's a must. I mean you can always use a pair of scissors (this is what I do) and trim the hair of. Like somebody say clip off only one third of the ear starting from the top, then, trim of the hair around the edges. Trim on both sides.

Yeah, I would try shaving first, she has alot of hair on them. I use a Wahl Peanut for the ears and for their paws. Its real small and works real good. You will also have to use scissors to trim the hair on the ears back into the V shape.

Just be very careful when you do so you don't snip their ear.

I bought a grooming table and use that for my "not so cooperative ones"

Zachary had one ear up and one down until I took him to the groomers last Tuesday and had her shave all the hair off of both of his ears. The next day the ear that had never been up was up and has stayed up for a week now. Zachary will be 17 weeks old tomorrow. So, I am happy to say that both ears are up and I have not had to tape them.

Thanks! She is actually a parti colored Yorkie, not Biewer. I am going to start with the scissors and see what happens and then I will use a razor. Thanks for the suggestions!

It probably is teething. I have one that has a lazy ear.....almost always have to tip the ears with this girl.....

Thank you all again for your help! I did what you guys said to do and her ear is up....not firm, but it's up none-the-less. My camera is dead at the momnet so I can't take a picture to show you. The ear is standing but it still moves around when she is walking or moving at all really. Should I keep it shaved until it decides to stand on its own? Do you think that I should go ahead and tape since it isn't firm or should I just leave it now?
