| the vet appt went good. he said he wants to keep the cast on for 6-8 weeks, do another xray in 3 weeks from today to make sure they are aligning ok, and if not, do surgery. He seems to think everything looks ok. he said if i want to bathe her, i can put a ziplock bag over her cast, close it up good, and just do all I can to avoid that area. 2 months is waaaay too long with no bath LOL maggie is doing fine today. she weighed in at 5.4 lbs with her cast on

| Glad your vet seemed to think things would be ok! Be very careful with the ziploc bags and the water! Having had 2 skinkids with casts *AT THE SAME TIME* let me tell you--it is not easy to manage with the bags (and that's on people that we can explain how and what to do). Let me know how it goes...BTW...you may want to go ahead and do the bath thingy now, before she gets too dirty. Then you can try and keep her contained inside. Just a thought! Good luck...

| It sounds like you have a caring vet for Maggie! We will keep you all in our prayers. What did the vet say about any pain she might be in? How long does she get the pain medicine? I know it sounds like a long time, but the weeks will hopefully go quickly for Maggie and the entire family. yorkiesmiles |
