				 | XNatalie- You are so right...A lot of people resent Yorkie owners...prob b/c the majority of dog owners dont pay $$ aka "cha-ching" for their dogs...

				 | Just let any comment that seems unfair blow over. It isn't worth thinking about. They really aren't "foo-foo" dogs and no amount of spoiling or dressing them can turn them into one. I love the firey spirit of the Yorkies!! |

				 | The only thing that is "foo-foo" about yorkies is their looks...am I not right?? Unless you have a really old one that just sits and looks pretty.

				 | I completely understand what you went through w/your in-laws MDSHELLE! My bf's mother ALWAYS says things like that about my fur baby. Everytime we come back after going to obedience classes she HAS to ask us how Tobi did, and when we tell her he was one of the most well behaved in the class she always has to say "OH, REALLY?!?" as if it's such a surprise. My yorkie is still a puppy, but he's really well behaved, and she just drives me up the wall when she insinuates that he's a terror!

				 | And while Im on my soapbox...who came up with this "purse dog" thing...who CAN actually carry their Yorkie in their purse w/o them jumping out??? I could never carry Izzy in my purse...she could fit in there but she would never stay in there. I just hate the phrase "ohhhh you just got that thing to be a purse dog"

				 | I'm so sorry about all the dumb comments to you. My soon to be mother-in-law is a real pain in the butt, so I know how your feeling. It's hard but try to ignore her.

				 | I heard one of the trainers at a PetSmart call Yorkies/Poodles and the like, foo-foo dogs. I thought, "well I know where I am NOT going to bring my boys for training".

| YT 1000 Club Member | I can totally agree with everyone. On Maggies first outing we went to the renaissance festival here in Michigan. I heard comments like that's not a real dog. to some people even jokind about needing ketchup. I have to agree some people are just ignorant. Or they have never owned a small dog and the only small dogs they have been around are like fru fru dogs or yappy, so they tend to stereo type. |
