Venus is a climber, and a chewer too! When I got puppy gates, I looked in the baby dept of Target, and found the type with "metal bars" on them.

Well, after spending 2 hours getting the thing set up for the first time, Venus walks right through the bars on one side.

Ok, off to Lowe's. I had to buy a piece of plexy glass, and drill holes in it, and attach it to the front of the bars she walked through. Problem solved.

Seen puppies climb those kinda gates, and seen a few chewers in my days that can chew a hole like that!

Sorry, just go get one with metal bars that go up and down. They can't chew through metal.

I would have to vote against laminate with puppy messes! I just put down laminate two months ago and it's all I can do to keep up with pawprints, noseprints and Ozzie occassionally dragging water with his beard.

I'd be afraid it would warp and buckle.

I sure hope my babies aren't that smart. I have the same gate I use to confine mine. But at least give hem a break at sentencing, They were just looking for momma.
