OMG...I almost lost Kiley!!!!!!

How frightening! My Kacee used to go under one of our recliners, too. I used to worry about that constantly. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm glad she's ok.

Is there a way to block off the bottom of those Chairs ?? I had a friend who's little yorkie would hide under there and it freaked her out too....ps - edited - I just saw where you said she stopped from going under there again.....I bet you could fix it so she can't get under there maybe ??

It would be tricky because it has a shirt thing all around the bottom. You would have to put wood around it under the skirt but then you couldnt recline at all even if you fixed it. I have been wanting new furniture anyway but until I get some I should just cover the little hand things that you pull out to make it recline and that will remind everyone not to do it. I dont think they will need reminding after yesterday though.

Thank God your baby is ok. Mine was fortunate ,too. Boobah was chewing on a live electrical cord and bit right through it! She got the shock of her life and so did I. I rushed her to the vets and the dr. said she is lucky to be alive. That occurred on the 4th of July. Im still having thoughts about it. Now I have all the electrical cords hanging high and out of her sight! We're lucky!

OMG Barb!!! I would have freaked out to!! They get into the smallest of places and they do it so fast!! I am glad everything is ok.

You poor thing! Glad it turned out OK. It seems like these manufacturers should be more responsible. A kid could get hurt under there too. I saw an americas funniest videos where a little boy got stuck in a recliner. His Dad had to break it to get him out. It sounds like this is not a new problem. The furniture makers need a safer design.

She got her head stuck when I reclined back I guess. She crapped all over herself so I am sure she was scared to death. I dont know what I would have done if I was the only one there. I couldnt have lifted the couch and held it up while I crawled under it to wedge her head out. I am going to have nightmares about this for a long time. Please beware if you have a recliner and dont recline while the dogs are around, I thought I chopped her head off. I think I am going to be sick.

MG Barb how scarey I am glad she is ok. Thank you I don't have a reciner but it is good to know.

We have to watch these guys every move especially since they are so sneeky about getting into trouble. We were both lucky this time.
