I am so glad she is alright!! That must have been so horrifying to go through!!

We have a loveseat that reclines. When it is reclined we make sure none of the dogs go under it. We taught them they aren't allowed to so they have always stayed away from going underneath of it. But if we aren't in the room or aren't watching them, it is never reclined. It is scary thinking what could happen to them, I always discourage any of the dogs from coming near it when it is reclined unless they are on our laps.

How scary. My cousin's kitty was killed under a recliner. They are so dangerous for small animals. I'm glad Kiley is okay.

I cannot imagine how scared you were!!! Just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt. I bet Kiley will never go under the recliner again. So happy Kiley is OK.

Barb, I am so sorry Kiley went through that. Yes, I know how dangerous
these recliners can be. I read an article about just that before I got Buddy pertainly to all small animals. I would have been freeking out also.

She is doing fine, thanks everyone. She starting heading back there last night and you could see her stop in her tracks, think about it for a second and turn around and jumped on the couch instead. I hope it scared her so bad she will stay out from under it.

She got her head stuck when I reclined back I guess. She crapped all over herself so I am sure she was scared to death. I dont know what I would have done if I was the only one there. I couldnt have lifted the couch and held it up while I crawled under it to wedge her head out. I am going to have nightmares about this for a long time. Please beware if you have a recliner and dont recline while the dogs are around, I thought I chopped her head off. I think I am going to be sick.

I'm SOOOOOO GLAD you were right there ... Poor baby - that really was a close call and good save mom. My heart was beating faster reading your post - I can only imagine how you felt when it happened

Is there a way to block off the bottom of those Chairs ?? I had a friend who's little yorkie would hide under there and it freaked her out too....ps - edited - I just saw where you said she stopped from going under there again.....I bet you could fix it so she can't get under there maybe ??
