Does anyone else find it strange that she bought a yorkie just a couple days after Paris Hilton did? I mean the article says she walked into the store, walked right to the dog section, picked up the yorkie and bought it...was in the store less than 30 minutes. Sounds to me likes she's a bit of a copy cat... Most people spend more than 10 minutes picking out a puppy

No reputable breeder of any sort would agree to put a pup for sale to any third party - pet store, broker, whatever.
My friends dont sell my dogs for me and I don't sell theres. I will refer a prospective buyer to someone I know and vice versa but I still interview extensively and I am the one dealing directly with anyone interested in one of my dogs or pups.
If that same pup ended up in a poorer area, it would have been a fraction of the price.
As with any store, they priced their wares at whatever price people are silly enough to pay.
Celebrities and/or wealth does not ever insure a good home. IN fact it is often the opposite and I tend to be very cautious with them. I have only sold once to someone very wealthy, same price as any of my pet puppies. The person was so down to earth and sensible I forgot she was wealthy, and she is the best friend of another pup owner of mine that I felt very comfortable selling the wealthy person this pup.

I just hope she takes care of the little guy/girl. She just does not seem like someone who will take the effort for all the care a yorkie needs.

Paris Hilton has been spotted with a new Yorkie puppy recently too! They both went from Chihuahuas to Yorkies. LOL

I hope she does too, but in all reality, won't it be her housekeeper, her nanny, or someone else that takes care of her dog? You always see her and other celebrities out and about, WITHOUT their kids and dogs. At least Paris took Tinkerbell everywhere!

They better because most of these dogs are from puppy mills....you can see the quality of the bakery looks much better than the dogs. The Hunt Corp. works with pet shops in Beverly Hills, Bel Air everywhere. This could be an exception and they may purchase their pups locally but I doubt it. I have been fighting to close puppy mills and pet shops in Ohio(Villette too as you well know with Brushy Creek sp?) don't let the bakery and jewelry blind you. If we stop buying from pet shops we put the puppy mills out of business. ok I'll get off my soap box lol To tell you the truth the bakery looks better than mine.

I disagree. Reputable breeders have way better guarantees than that AND they will stand behind them. I have seen many guarantees that they will not stand behind and will blame the buyer when something goes wrong.
Everything looks good on paper, that is until it is challenged.
No reputable breeder will allow a pet store, broker or anyone else to sell their puppies, they do it themselves after stringent interviews and will provide all the help and info required for that pup.

She has enough pets as it is, with 2 kids, I read that K-fed used to get mad cause the pups would poop and she wouldn't pick it up and it would be on the floor right next to her kids, where they crawled

She won't take care of it! She just bought it cause they are more popular now and cause Paris bought one. I'm not trying to be mean but everytime she was seen holding her tiny chihuahuas they looked scared and i have read that she doesn't care for them well. All I want to say to them is "Stop buying dogs and get your lives together first!"

I have been ironically working, also in Ohio, to shut down these pet stores. I still say that education is the key. I try to not judge folks who may have bought from a puppy store, because a lot of them just don't understand the whole puppy mill thing!! Spreading the word and educating people is absolutely the BEST thing we can do and will get us much furthur than passing judgement. People see a darling puppy in a store and unsuspectingly buy it. The saddest part about this, in my opinion, is the fact the the majority of these purchases are "impulsive" and not well thought out. Any puppy is a HUGE responsibilty and not one to be taken lightly. I pray for Brittney's puppy's sake that he will be well cared for.
