SuziQ, your story really touched me. I am so happy for you that your little one gave you so much comfort during the hard time you went through. I hope that Buttercup can stay with his mommy and help her heal too. I know that Yorkie kisses can do so much more than medicine to help with the healing process.

| I say get rid of the secretary and hire a new one (esp. since she is new herself)..there are a plenty of people in Houston that can replace her. I hope your surgery goes well and you recover faster than you thought possible. I hope Buttercup gets to stay with his Mommy

| Buttercups mommy, Im praying for you to have a full recovery. I think placining him with a yt'er is a good idea, then you can have him back when your ready. there are some good yt'ers who have offered .....anyway please reconsider giving him to a rescue. hugs, elaine

| Kim; You can't say Goodbye... Get a laptop, with Buttercup at your feet and type away.. I must say, after 3 hours of reading about Zeke and Proud Mommy's story, and Dave, who is so broken hearted about Cody , and now your post, I am a mental wreck!! You can't leave now, What better way to take your mind off of your surgery, than getting all those hugs and prayers sent your way?? I had all but decided to stay away, since there was so much bashing on YT for awhile, it wasn't pleasant. Today has changed my mind. There are so many wonderful Yorkie owners out there, that are so good at heart! Don't leave us now!! I know it will work out, my husband had a 7%.. yes, 7% Chance of surviving longer than 3 months with Esophageal Cancer... that was 3 1/2 yrs ago. Last week, the Dr. told him to go home, hug our dogs and celebrate! Even she knew the powers of a Yorkie!! Prayers are answered, and you need Buttercup's kisses to heal. Someone will help you with him, and he won't mind if he isn't the center of attention for a while. They know when they are needed, and they respond in the most spectacular way! Give him the chance to help you! My prayers go out to all who are in need! Hugs; |

| I will keep you in my prayers, I agree with the other posters that these little yorkies seem to know when we are hurting physically or otherwise, and they always seem to want to make us feel better, I hope that everything will work out so you can keep Buttercup |

| Okay no more goodbyes! I really hated to say goodbye. My husband and I had a really long talk (over the phone), I mentioned before that he's never home. Only home to shower and sleep for 3-4 hours. After I knocked some sense in him, he told me that there is a 95% chance that he will take Buttercup to work with him. I told him that the secretary was new (only been on the job for 2 weeks) and barely knows how to operate the switchboard. She needed to be considerate of "THE BOSS" and let "THE BOSS" do what he wants because 'HE IS THE BOSS' So I feel much better now about the situation than I did before. This is what we've worked out if he does decide to take Buttercup to work with him. He works from 5am-5pm Tuesday-Friday so Buttercup will be with him. There is a 2-hour drive home because traffic is crazy during peak hours, which is 4:30pm-6:30pm. He arrives home around 7-7:30pm. Buttercup will have dinner, go out to potty and hubby showers. After showering, Buttercup goes in his room for bed, hubby is out the door again at 10pm-12midnight. Saturday-Monday he is out to manage his other businesses and Buttercup can't come along. The nurse has volunteered to help out on those 3 days until I am able to get out of bed. Hopefully this will work out for me. (If you are curious, hubby is an architect. He co-owns a company based out of California with his brother and also own 3 gas stations, so basically he manages all that while I'm in college and taking care of our 4-year-old son) I know many are curious as to what I'm getting surgery for. It is for a cyst that became malignant and has to be removed before it matastasize. Where it is located doesn't matter because either way, it's still an early form of cancer. I truly don't think it's fair for me, or anyone for that matter, to go through this. I would have to put my life in God's hands and hope for the best. Sorry if it's such a long post because I don't know when I will be able to get back on because I have to prepare myself and accomodate my housing environment to where it's convenient for me after surgery and doing about 30 loads of laundry all by myself and getting it all pressed and in it's correct places. I'm only 24 and I feel like I'm breaking apart already! Last edited by xBUTTERCUPx; 07-08-2007 at 07:57 PM. |
